"If I could give zero stars for customer service for my experience today, I would. Stood in a long line to buy a beanie that had no tag and was the last of its kind. Being a former retail employee myself, this is a telltale sign of a clearance item. There were no "like items" to speak of, so instead of putting a low price tag on the item to move the line along, I waited for appx 10 minutes while 3 store employees conspired to create an imaginary price of $19.99. I proceeded to tell the woman at the register to just put a low price on the item and move on. She said she "refused to bargain", though one must ask how you can bargain with a non-existent price. The "price specialist" proceeded to print out a price label from thin air with the $19.99 and the clerk argued with me during the entire transaction. I offered to pay $15 for it since it was first told to me that it was part of a set that was missing the other half, and they were planning to still charge full price for the item. Then they back-tracked and unanimously decided that it was a single item and proceeded with their full imaginary price. Had I treated a customer with such disrespect, and general lack of concern for the customer, as well as the ever-growing line behind me, I would have gotten a strict talking-to by my manager. This is NOT customer service, and as we have all begun to see, it is becoming a dying breed. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE TJ Maxx to revisit its customer service behavior to favor the customer, or they will quickly become obsolete like many of the businesses we see today."
