"I’m normally a very positive and friendly person and it infuriates me when people treat me as “less than”. I’m sure that I’m not the only one on a strict grocery budget these days, so please don’t assume that because I rely on EBT to help me out with groceries, that I am not worthy of being treated with respect. First of all, my monthly benefit is $23. I work and still fall into the category of folks whose income is below the federal poverty threshold. I am grateful for that $23! Don’t get me wrong here, but because I used my EBT card and had a question about my receipt and the charges on it, I was basically dismissed. The cashier told me he had no control over the charges and was done with me. I went to the person overseeing the self checkout and she said she couldn’t help me, but did call the manager for me. When the manager got to the front of the store, she asked the cashier what they called her for and I explained it was for me. I explained that I didn’t understand why my EBT charge was less than I thought it should be, making my debit charge HIGHER that it should be. I apologized because I knew it was just a matter of only $6-$7, but that as she could see by the number of marked down clearance items that I purchased, I had a tight budget. She did explain what happened and it had to do with a coupon I had for $10 off my purchase and that it automatically went towards the EBT eligible items. (I had no clue!) The problem was that she explained it to me like I was a three year old. What I wanted to say was listen “Linda” I am a college educated mature woman who took the time to help one of YOUR customers find an item when YOUR staff had no clue where it was, and how upset I was that she should feel so superior to me that she felt it necessary to speak to me the way she did. Instead, I just said thank you for explaining that to me. I even went back to the cashier and tried to apologize if I had come across as mean or rude to him, but again I was dismissed. Then on top of it all, I lost the cup part of my Starbucks keychain over by the pharmacy but of course it hadn’t been turned in at that time. I will NEVER shop at this store again. I don’t need to subject myself to people who cannot be bothered to treat me with the same respect I’m sure they themselves expect."

"Bought value package of steaks marked boneless. Had 3 different size cuts. One had a bone in it hidden by pricing label. What a ripoff."

"I frequent Ralphs in San Marcos, and it never disappoints. The store is clean and well-stocked, making my grocery shopping hassle-free. The staff is friendly and helpful, and I appreciate their commitment to maintaining a safe and clean shopping environment. The variety of products is impressive, and I always find fresh produce and quality goods. It's my go-to place for groceries, and I highly recommend it."

"high prices for bad products! The first problem is that they make you have Ralph’s cards to get cheaper prices, but the online app doesn’t work! Secondly, even if you have the phone number linked to the card, you cannot pay the promotional price! my problem is always the same with avocados! They always have a different price and they often sell the avocados already spoiled! I'm here to warn you, but if you want, you can go yourself to understand this situation up close. And lastly, they don't restock the same items and if they do restock, it's almost never in the same order, so you have to walk all over the supermarket to find what you want! My problem is not the price, but the products really don't have the expected quality and the promotions aren't real."

"This location always has great deals on meat and ready to eat food! Sometimes there's soup, sometimes there's chicken, and sometimes there's pasta. This plaza has plenty of parking and it doesn't get too full. They have a huge selection of alcohol here and I was actually able to find lemonade flavored Deep Eddy's vodka here which was sold out everywhere else I went."
