"Good luck if you're calling to schedule an appointment! After holding the line for a long time, you notice they barely speak English. The guy asked my if I wanted to install a gas stove in my car! I said, are you really asking me if I want a gas stove installed in my car? He hesitated but repeated himself! I just hung up! Update: still one star. They sold me the wrong cameras, then they updated. The cameras lag awfully. They also installed the monitor and recorder in my front office where it's accessible by everyone, without asking where I wanted it."

"They told me my laptop would be too expensive to fix, and would take several weeks to ship out, so i should just buy a new one. Then after a youtube video search I fixed it myself for 50$ in 1 day. The fact that he was wearing 2 masks was my hint not to listen to him, and it saved me 1000$ I love best buy but I feel sorry for all the people geek squad screws over"

"Disappointing as Expected. Apple recommended me to take my phone to Geek Squad to be fixed under Apple’s warranty. I asked Apple if they have limitations, and Apple said none because they are as trained as the staff working in Genius Bar. I took the appointment, but also kept the one I have with Apple at a later time because I am doubtful and unsure. And guess what, I am right. I am very disappointed with Geek Squad attention to my concern. The technician don’t want to listen to what actions I’ve taken already nor my observations. At the end, he said he can’t replace the phone because he doesn’t have parts or an IPhone 11. This phone has been out for 12 months!!! iPhone 12?! is coming out, and yet they don’t have supplies of iPhone 11?! Very upsetting. Expected, but still aggravating."

"My computer would not update Windows. Brought it into Geek Squad paid $49 for a one-time fix. They said the price included a tune-up only but would probably fix my issue. It was unsuccessful. Then talked me into a one year membership for around 190, saying this is what was necessary to fix the problem. They came back after 2 days and said the hard drive was fried and it couldn't be fixed. I took the computer home we loaded Windows myself and it now works fine. Need I say more?"

"I have been a Geek Squad Subscriber for the past five years and the money I spend for an annual subscription is returned to me in service savings at least five times over. I have told them and others, it is the best investment in computers I have made. Recently I had two issues - one to restart a laptop that would not boot and then to upgrade the RAM on that computer. Both times there was no charge for the service!"
