Crowne Plaza Dallas Downtown, an IHG Hotel

"Rooms were adequate for what I needed, decent amount of space and they seemed to be clean. There is a little shop at reception which sells snacks and salads, the card machine there was broken but they allowed me to take a couple of things for free to be fair. The hallways were dirty with detritus on the floor and empty bags in the lifts so that could do with an improvement. The bar area is lovely and the barmaid has a great sense of humour and is fun to talk to - definitely tip her well. The local area is a bit run down with tramps and beggars nearby at the bus stop, I'm not sure how I'd feel about my wife walking locally alone."

"BUYER BEWARE! This property is disgusting! Smells of vomit, and carpets are unclean and tattered. There was NO WAY I wad eating anything from that hotel, so I can't speak to the food. All I got was an apology when I raised this issue. I feel like I should be refunded, but I'm sure that's not going to happen. Worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. LOOK ELSEWHERE!"

"Booked the room for the price. Get what you pay for. The hotel in general is in dyer need of a remodel. The hallways are dirty and need a good shampooing. Room was clean except for when i brought out the ultra violet light, the hand prints on the headboard were a surprise under the light. Bed was comfortable though. I Guess I can conclude by, it needs a lot of cleaning and a remodel. Understanding that it is an older hotel, but come on man."

"What a relief!!! After our Travel Agent book the hotel earlier this year, we read the reviews, not good at all, in fact they were the worst we had seen anywhere else during our world travels. We were dreading our stay until we arrived. Our room was ready so we were able to get into our room after an overnight flight. Everything was clean and the rooms and beds were great. Our experience was the exact opposite to the reviews. We couldn't fault the staff anywhere in the hotel. The restaurant and bar were very good. Our overall comments in a nut shell - EXCEPTIONAL VALUE FOR MONEY -"

"The location is fantastic. I would say it’s close to the highways really accessible downtown. There are some really cool art installations nearby which made it very walkable. The only problem I would say was the upkeep of the building. The pool did not look like something I want to jump in, the outdoor area was really nice and a view from most of the rooms up Top was really good. Now the breakfast not so much. As far as breakfast in the bar, the bar is my favorite and the waitress who is serving drinks. I hope to come back and see the happy hour is very appetizing and it makes a lot of sense. They also had a Club which I wasn’t able to attend, but it looked like it was a great time . The rooms could’ve been decorated a little bit better in between one room or another I didn’t have a microwave in one. I did like the soap selection. I don’t think the top floors have anyone renting the rooms this could been a great time for some updates."
