"I've attached screenshots of emails I've sent that explain what I've gone through while living there. When I first moved in, things were great. I met some amazing people, which I considered to be life long friends. Things changed for me come the end of June, early July. I have a technical background and noticed my computer running slower than normal. It was strange because it was just a month or 2 after we received the email from Domain about the internet services being down. I was hacked and reported it to domain and reached out to family that is in law enforcement. The pool area and courtyard with the grills and pool table are dope, but the gym is below average (no barbel/big weights to work with), absolutely ZERO security as there were many times I'd order Uber Eats and they would get into the building without buzzing in, and when I'd ask them how they got in, they said either someone let them in or the door was unlocked, and my place was entered multiple times when I was not home without my consent. See the emails below on how I expressed that. I was told that they have records of everytime your door is accessed, but noone ever came back to follow up with me on that (which leads me to believe it was them accessing my place without my permission). Furthermore, just look at the news and see what's going on in the cyber world, from bluetooth hacks to zero day exploits for iOS and Windows... They have the livly app, butterflyapp, etc, that you can access the building with via virtual keys. Anyway, if your device is hacked, or another residents device gets hacked, it puts everyone at risk within the building as anyone can access the building, or god forbid your place, at anytime. And seeing another review express how someone tried walking into her place (thankfully she was at home and caught it), it makes you wonder what is actually going on there. At the end of the day, I was going to just move on to get better, and work on myself to build trust again, regain my 30 pounds I lost back, get back on a normal sleep schedule since I was sleep deprived for months due to the people banging things purposely up on the 5th floor in the open area (facing Lavazza there's the open glass area and a team of people would be up there every night, confirmed with Steve as well), but I received a greedy email requesting for more money from them (due to their signature within the email, they requested me and stated I cannot share what they say to me publicly, so I only attached what I have sent to them). Miss you all from the 4th floor, C*****, P****, L****, K****, M*****, P**, and F**** (starred out the names for privacy). And to everyone I met at Lavazza, much love to you too!"
"This apartment complex was nice to live in, however I experienced alot of skin issues the moment I moved in. I’m not sure if it was the water softener, but the moment we moved out my skin issues started to resolve within 1-2 days. I hope they can resolve this issue, because I wouldn’t even drink the water there. I purchased a very expensive AquaTru filtration system in order to feel comfortable drinking the water. Another thing, it’s so expensive to live here! You’re almost paying as much as if you lived in Chicago, if not more! We only had a ten month lease and I’m glad we didn’t stay longer!"
"I would like to start my review by saying that living here was for the most part nice. It felt very luxurious, and we loved the updated features in the apartment. We moved in when they first opened and were very disappointed with how many amenities were not available despite being advertised as such a big reason to move to domain. The dog spa, dog run and makers room all took several months to become available. I also do not believe the building is very pet friendly even though that is also advertised. The dog run is tiny and is not useful even for a medium sized dog and there is only one station in the front of the building with dog bags. There were also many issues with the garage door, the fire alarm systems and the internet connection (which is set up by the complex) that were huge inconveniences especially for someone that works from home. With that being said, the number one concern of mine while living here was how many times someone (could have been maintenance or construction workers) tried to enter my specific apartment unit. One time, our door happened to be unlocked and someone even opened our actual front door, we had bells on the handle as that is how our dog lets us know when she has to go out and when the door handle was moved the bells would ring. This happened multiple more times (luckily our door was locked the other times) early this year which made me very uncomfortable. I had a difficult time reaching out to the front office through phone and email, so I had to physically go there to explain what had been happening. They said they would fix the issue and the next day it happened again. Overall, for the high price that you are paying to live there, I would expect better as a tenant."
"The property managers, if you want to call them that, are the worst. They don't take responsibility for anything that is wrong with the property, only pass the blame to someone else or make the tenant figure it out. They charge a fixed fee for all utilities, including the internet (they never would provide the amount paid for only the internet), yet if there's something wrong with it, the tenant is responsible for calling and fixing, even when the property holds the contract. Daily cleaning is only on the first floor and where their offices are. Happy they get to work on a clean floor and not have to walk the continuously dirty corridors of the fourth floor. Price is definitely not worth having to deal with poor management and a substandard building. You would think that the money being paid for the overpriced units could pay for more maintenance and cleaning, but guess not. For a brand new building, barely a year old, there so many things wrong with it? The building is cheaply made and the managers are just as bad. DO NOT LIVE HERE!"
