"Great gym facility, located on the far east side of UT campus near the football stadium. Great workout equipment, as well as playing courts for various sports including squash and basketball. Gregory gym has a more prime location, but if you want to work out in a less packed gym, go to Rec!"

"Stay away from UT RecSports to protect your health! It is an inherently racist institution! It is built for the comfort of White student sports, but as a minority you will be always disregarded and disrespected here both by moving around/cancelling your favorite sport whenever they feel like it and by directly insulting you. The very limited hours and the random closure of the whole facility whenever there is a holiday (which actually means more people having time to go to the gym!) makes it a useless option for many students specially during the summer. Yet, the name of RecSports gym functions as a scapegoat for UT gym management whenever there is a complaint about the very limited facilities they have specially for non-white sports. If you belong to a minority population, coming to the UT gyms will actually worsen your health significantly rather than helping it in any ways!"

"I would like to give Garrett a special shout-out because on my run today, I stopped my run because I was looking for water due to the heat. Garrett told me the center didn't open until 10, and he said "I'll be back, you're feeling it." He took my water bottle and filled it up for me. I greatly appreciated that gesture!"

"The gym is not maintained. Much of the equipment is unusable and has been sitting like that for months. Some of the equipment is not safe to use. I injured my right shoulder because the bolts were missing and I fell to the ground. Since 3 months ago I filed a report and no action was taken. The bathroom is not cleaned and is a big mess. I do NOT recommend at all!"
