"I made an appointment to come in and get my nose issue fixed. When I arrived they told me my appointment was cancelled due to no confirmation. Claimed they had called me 3 times I only have 1 registered to my phone. I confirmed by text less than an hour after receiving their text. Yet, it was cancelled. Very disappointed with this if i could leave the review with no stars I would."
"Wow. Do NOT go to this practice. If I could give zero stars, I would. We had been going to Dr. Ham for about a year, getting my daughter's ears cleaned out here and there. This last appointment, I had a scheduling conflict and sent my oldest son, 17, to take my daughter (11) since we had been there so many times. It was a routine ear cleaning that we had done several times. When they arrived, I received a phone call from the receptionist informing us that my daughter needed to be accompanied by an adult and her older brother was considered a "minor" since he wasn't yet 18. I responded and said I understood and asked if they could still treat her. She said she just needed a verbal agreement over the phone that I am giving my consent that she's with a minor. Of course I agreed, thinking that would be the end. The phone rang 2 minutes later and this time it was Dr. Ham. He literally repeated what the receptionist had JUST said to me on the phone moments before as if I had no idea what was going on. I responded and said I was aware of the situation and gave my verbal consent. He said he needed an email now giving them written permission to see her. Already he sounded agitated, but with my oldest being my first born, I was not aware of this rule. I agreed to send the email giving my permission. All of a sudden, a woman's voice came on the line and said, "Mrs. Geu? This is so-and-so, the residential pediatrician here at the office." I said, "Okay?" having no idea she was even in the room or conversation. She followed my response with an angry and patronizing, "Don't EVER do this again." Now mind you, this was in front of my kids. I paused. I was shocked. I had no words. I had never been spoken to so rudely by someone...especially someone who supposedly worked with children. At this point, I was really frustrated. None of us were aware of this rule and ALL of these conversations are happening IN FRONT OF my children. They are feeling embarrassed and humiliated, as if they have done something wrong. It was like we had done this on purpose. (Later I found out that this rude woman was telling Dr. Ham that he should not see my daughter and that he should have never considered even bringing them back and that my actions in sending my oldest to accompany my daughter was absolutely unacceptable. This was all being said in front of my children--that's how I found out.) As I began typing, thinking this was the end and hoping my kids there were not too traumatized by this point, the phone rang AGAIN. It was Dr. Ham again. He said that he changed his mind and that he would no longer treat her and that I had to bring her back at another time. I responded telling him how disappointed I was how this whole situation was handled and how I hope my kids were not too upset. They were just the innocent bystanders at this point. I told him whoever that lady was on the phone (I need to find out her name so that no one sees her!) was incredibly rude and that we would not be returning to the office anymore. I asked him to just send my kids home. This literally could not have gone any worse and it was probably one of the worst experiences in a doctor's office I have ever had. Please do not waste your time unless you'd like to be treated like trash."
"Dr. Ham took care of my elderly mother's clogged ears. He was very nice, professional, and knowledgeable. However, his office staff is terrible. If you have anything other than straight Medicare, do not go here. I used my mother's advantage plan web site to find Dr. Ham. Despite him being listed his office said they do not take her plan. However, I was assured that if I gave them her regular red and blue Medicare card, everything would be covered and there would be no charge. We took her in October, and when we arrived I asked for clarification again that even though she has an Advantage plan, straight Medicare would cover her. I was told emphatically yes. Now in January I got an email saying this is the second notice for an outstanding balance in the hundreds of dollars, and to click on the link to pay it. I click the link and there is no way to see the actual invoice, and there is nothing referencing my mother. Just "BALANCE DUE" and amount. We never received anything, via email or post mail, listing how they arrived at the amount due, or what insurance they billed. Every time I call the office, regardless of time of day, I am told they are closed, and I get kicked to the off-hours operators who speak very poor English. So I left a message. The person who called me back, who also spoke poor English, said they don't take her Advantage plan and you cannot use regular Medicare instead. When I explained I was told several times to handle it this way, by the person who made the appointment and the person at the desk when we arrived, she said well that person was mistaken. I said I want to speak to someone higher up. Have heard nothing for 2 days. Called again this morning, got the same off hours operators who speak broken English, said I want a copy of the detailed invoice, and I still want to dispute the charge. No response. As of now, I still don't know how they arrived at the amount owed, have yet to see a list of charges, and still don't know if I'm even talking to an actual person at that office. I am seriously thinking its a scam."
