"The Renzo Gracie school boasts a clean environment and exceptional instructors. The staff consistently demonstrates remarkable helpfulness and friendliness. As someone new to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu without prior combat sports experience, I always felt a warm welcome from fellow students who had more expertise. One aspect I appreciate is the flexibility to attend different schools based on my daily work schedule. Particularly, I enjoy classes led by Professors Marvin and Ryan West, finding them to be patient and approachable. However, I received mixed reviews about Professor Jamie, with some students describing him as impatient and challenging to learn from. Despite the warnings, I decided to attend his classes, only to regret that choice later. Having dyslexia poses challenges for me in following instructions immediately, and Professor Jamie lost his patience with me on multiple occasions when I struggled to execute a move on the first or second attempt. The experience was disheartening, especially with other students observing in disbelief. While I would typically give these schools a 5-star rating, my negative encounters with Professor Jamie prevent me from doing so."
