"University Ave. former resident. Really nice apartments, prices would be reasonable if the washers and dryers were in the units and not outside and paid. Front desk personnel is nice but unable to help because of tough owner expectations. Individual unit maintenance is not the best ... since the owner use to do it. Oh and Also they really want to keep as much as your deposit so have you Iowa residential law booklet ready."
"I lived at Raven Oaks for a year, and a year was far too long. The apartment is in a nice neighborhood and there is ample storage but that's about it when it comes to pros. If you're looking for discounted cheap appliances, look no further. AC can't cool the apartment, dishwasher can't wash dishes, laundry destroys clothes, lights flicker because of bad wiring, to name a few. In our experiences with the landlord, he was both unprofessional and lacked any sense of communication with us. He makes up his own rules and allows his friends to bend them. We've spoken with other previous tenants who also think this place is better avoided. When leaving he was unrealistic and once again unprofessional which left our thoughts on an even sourer note. The apartment is perfect for a "Plan C", but seriously consider your other options first."
