"As a business traveler, I recommend staying away from this property. They charged me a “Marketing Destination Fee” that is supposed to be voluntary. I asked them to remove the fee and they said no because “it’s a tax.” This is not a tax per the Travel Dubuque website. It is also not a tax because there was a line item tax on top for the fee. There is no such thing as a tax on a tax. Incompetent property management. Steer clear of this place."

"The breakfast in the morning wasn't too bad for being free, and better than other places. Location is decent. A lot of places within a short distance of where we were located. The hotel was affordable and was able to use my points to bring down the cost for the weekend. Front desk was responsive when I would contact them. Beds were firm and not the most comfortable, but wasn't surprising. I was more turned off by the fact our microwave had a plate of old food in it, stained sheets, the shampoo was very watered down, and the conditioner was empty. There was a breeze coming from underneath the heater/air conditioner where we had to raise the heat to combat it."

"No clock in the room.. I know this is probably a strange critique but it's just nice to be able to look and see the time. Yes I have a phone and yes I have a watch, but it's nice to just look at the clock on the wall or the table to check the time. Also the breakfast is sub-par and the housekeeping could be more detailed, there were stains in the ice bucket I had to wash out and stray hairs in the shower. Thin walls so you can hear your neighbors raising their curtains"

"When the weather outside is - 9°, The thing you look for most in a hotel is quiet, cozy, warm facilities. This location is somewhat dated, but it is still nice. The room is clean and inviting, even as the snow drifts outside the window get larger. There is a pool, and a business center and free breakfast in the morning, in the commons area which is cozy. Staff seem to be nothing if not efficient and good at what they do. The bed is the normal Hampton inn level of firmness. The pillows seem somewhat firm and filled with synthetic filling. Perfectly functional but definitely nothing that you'd find in a higher end facility. Everything seems to be working. I'll sleep well tonight."

"My family stayed in a very spacious suite that was accommodating to our golden retriever. Addison made us feel very welcome upon our arrival and was very helpful with all questions we had. We will definitely stay here again."
