"I visited this animal cancer center after my cat was diagnosed with cancer, and my experience was profoundly disappointing. Reflecting on the days we spent seeing Dr. Parsons brings back feelings of sadness, anger, and despair. I found Dr. Parsons, as a vet oncologist, lacking in both professional competence and empathy necessary for dealing with animal patients and their families. 1. Lack of Professionalism: Dr. Parsons seemed uncomfortable and even scared of cats. She was reluctant to perform physical exams on my seriously ill cat, always maintaining a distance and labeling my cat as 'too aggressive', insisting on sedatives for examinations. However, when visiting other clinics, the general docs could examine my cat without sedation, noting that excessive sedatives are harmful. When it came to administering medication, Dr. Parsons was not helpful. She declared it impossible to medicate my cat due to its temperament. As a pet owner, this left me feeling hopeless. In contrast, our general vet immediately showed me how to administer the medication, even recording a video for me to practice at home, which eventually led to successful medication for my cat. 2. Lack of Empathy: Dr. Parsons displayed a lack of concern for my cat and disrespect towards me as a cat owner. Her indifference was palpable, especially during the advanced stages of my cat's cancer. The only sources of support during this time were our cat's general and eye vet doctors, who showed immense kindness and support. My advice to other pet owners: If you have a choice, I would recommend seeking treatment elsewhere"

"We were only there for 1 visit with Memphis. Everyone was so nice and made the experience easier for us. Although the results were not what we were expecting everyone was so kind. We lost Memphis 4 days after the visit but coming home to a card with such wonderful and kind words made it a little easier to deal with the loss. Was worth the 6 hour drive. Thank you"

"I recently brought my dog, Stella, to Dr. Parsons. She and the staff here are amazing! Excellent at what they do with great communication and customer service. You can feel they all care, and Dr. Parson's bedside manner is exceptional. I have been to a quite a few veterinarians and specialists and I must say Pearland Animal Cancer & Referral Center is hands down THE best. I found them online and decided to get a referral here because of their great reviews and they did not disappoint. I drive all the way down from The Woodlands, but it is worth it. I am super excited because they have another location opening in The Woodlands :) Highly recommend!!"

"We recently took our dog (Cash) here after getting a referral from Sunset Animal Hospital. We have to say we are completely astonish with both the facility and staff. They went beyond our expectations and always ensure we received updates while Cash was there. From the coordinator, to technician, and both Dr. Parsons and Dr. Caplan are so thorough and they are all such an amazing team! I can't say thank you enough the fact that they took such a good care of our dog Cash. They even knitted a shirt for our dog Cash after he had his leg amputated. Highly recommended PACRC!
