"Probably the worst guardian ad Litem that I have ever experienced. Lisa worked for the money and based all decisions on who paid her the most instead of what was best for the children. Lisa completed interviews and court ordered written report/recommendation that she subsequently flipped on in the middle of her testimony without any changes in circumstances/facts. She only expressed her dissatisfaction about not receiving timely payments. Do not use her. "Lisa was the second therapist I tried for reunification with my kids. (check my reviews for the other one - if I get around to writing that review). After my first bad experience I did quite a bit of research on reunification therapy and what needs to be done to be successful. Then I went out to find someone who can actually help this time. From my research it appeared that Lisa Rothfus is one of the few really trained psychotherapists in the Austin area that specializes in helping parents reunite with their kids after a divorce, or, like for me, a period of estrangements from their kids. So I contacted her...I am so glad I did! She helped me better understand the situation I was facing with my kids, and coached me on how to respond differently when interacting with them. The she worked with the whole family (which wasn't easy) and was great with the kids, getting them to work well with the process. I'm happy to say things have gotten much better with my kids, and in co-parenting with my ex. Here's some advice for you, if you need help, check out the credentials of the people who say they do reunification before you jump into it. Or better yet, just call Lisa."
