"First. The teachers are all pretty great. Nothing bad to say about them, and my son learned quite a bit. Second, and probably less important than my son’s happiness is the complete lack of competence at the office/admin level. The main example was signing up and stopping lessons was a pain, this happen both times-- I called to get some questions answered and found out they emailed me in response. I emailed back a request for a phone call and they sent more emails. Please go through other channels and find a personal teacher for the same price."

"We had a disappointing experience with School of Rock. Given the great reviews, my son was really excited to try a summer camp. The goal to be in a music band was one of the driving factors as well. He attended first day of School of Rock summer camp with much excitement. Unfortunately, his experience was disappointing. Two key reasons include 1) Logistics - the camp was very cramped throughout the day. Kids were standing in heat at checking in and kept waiting there for atleast 25 minutes. Further, in the camp, he was not given no chair despite his request. I understand that the band setup may require him to stand for some time. But on request, can such asks be accomodated? Relatedly, unfortunately, he felt it was a pretty cramped setup through the entire day. 2) Skill gap - The camp was not challenging for him and he did not feel excited. One of the reasons we understood was that he did not learn anything. He knows keyboard and was asked to play a set of keys repeatedly, which was not challenging or exciting for him. If the camp is for beginners, why care about instruments they know? Rather should you not focus on instruments you want to know. I had called School of Rock couple of weeks before the summer camp to confirm if the Instrument they asked was what they knew or wanted to know. Given this, unfortunately, he pushed back on coming to the camp the rest of the week or again in the future. When we reached out to the school sharing this feedback, unfortunately we felt that they were not acknowledging of the feedback. Neither were they willing to refund, offering 50% credit for future camps after follow up. If a kid does not want to go again, I am not sure of the value of such a credit. At $575 for the week of summer camp, and the magical hope of kids playing in a band someday, parents may want to know the other side, before considering this camp in the future."

"We tried this camp for the first time Summer 2023. The staff is very approachable, and the instructors are skilled, with kid-friendly methods. Our child was encouraged, and ultimately pumped, to be a part of a group, making music. The perfect place to get acclimated and grow, with a shared musical experience."

"This has been such a wonderful program for my son. We've been going to the School of Rock since 2020 and it's been amazing. The staff and teachers are just wonderful, and they put a lot of thought into making it a great experience for the kids. Highly recommend!"

"Life changing program you can trust. The staff led by Jo and musical direction by Dave and teaching staff including Jason, Yamal, Travis amd Elliot are just incredible. They give our kids (and me!) such a wonderful and well managed program that they’ve become a real part of our homeschool program (along with others we’ve referred) and we are just in awe."
