About the Business
Bright Beginnings Schoolhouse FM 1826 is a charming school located in Austin, Texas. Our original “Little Red Schoolhouse” location near Brodie and FM 1626 has expanded to include our newest location off FM 1826 near Oak Hill. Since 2013, we have been providing exceptional care to children in a home away from home environment. Our fully licensed center offers rooms for 2 to 3 year olds and 3 to 5 year olds, as well as a fenced playground with a sandbox, playscape, and even a chicken coop with 7 chickens.
Our dedicated teachers are affectionate, nurturing, and loving, creating a joyful learning experience for all our students. We believe in providing a safe, stable, and compassionate setting where children can advance their intellectual and physical competence, creativity, and communication skills. Our goal is to ensure that every child is enthusiastic about coming to school and has a happy and enjoyable experience during their early years of education.

"Such a wonderful experience here! We enrolled our 4 year old in the fall of '22 because he was getting lost in the shuffle at his current daycare with high student to teacher ratio. The teaching staff at Bright Beginnings gave him excellent attention, learning tools, manners and life skills and he began to open up and flourish. The calendar of events are extremely organized and creative, our son enjoyed all the activities month to month. The communication between parent and teacher were excellent. The schoolhouse is set up for hands-on play and very tidy, and the outdoor area has plenty of areas for exploration. Owners and staff make holidays so fun for all. We will miss everyone as we march into Pre-K, and cherish the great friends along the way :)"
"I enrolled my daughter in Bright Beginnings in Aug 2020 and she's had a great experience, we're sad she's starting pre-k in the Fall. It has the cozy feel of an in home daycare but also the curriculum and schedule of a professional preschool, it's really the best of both worlds. The teachers are very professional, caring, and communicate with parents well. The director is very involved and is always available to discuss any questions I've had. Each month has a different learning theme and my daughter comes home telling me new things, singing new songs, and is so proud to show me her artwork."
