"I cannot begin to express our gratitude for Acton Academy Bee Cave. Our son is not only thriving at Acton, he is growing in ways that we were not expecting. He is gaining knowledge of real life skills while actually being excited about learning! He likes to ask me, “Do I have school tomorrow?” And when he discovers that he does, his response is always an emphatic, “yay!!” As a six-year-old boy with lots of energy, we had a real fear of how he would handle traditional school. We wanted him to really love learning and have the ability to explore and grow. All of this we have found at Acton Academy Bee Cave and so much more. I am so thrilled that we stepped out of our comfort zone to try this new way of learning. Truly one of the greatest choices we have made for our family."

"Gosh, where to start... Completely horrified at our school system we came across Acton while desperately looking for what we were going to do instead. Not only is the entire learner driven, disruptive educational, Socratic method of schooling obviously the way to go, the Briggs family is offering the opportunity to build something together from the ground up. Community, family...whatever you want to call it, grateful isn't a big enough word for how it feels getting to be a part of it. Guides to help them find out on their own, learning to learn and being excited about it, relating to their fellow humans kindly and making decisions together democratically, finding their spark to change the world...these kids aren't students anymore, they're heroes on a journey. UPDATE: On Saturday he said he wished it was Monday. When asked why he said, "because I get to go to school". First time to hear that ever!"

"We started Acton Academy just three weeks ago and are so incredibly glad we decided to choose this school over the public school they were in. The philosophy and curriculum is something that I have always believed in. Children get to learn by doing, express their ideas and opinions and apply them, problem solve, utilize "real world situations" to facilitate their learning. They come home talking about heroes they have learned about and share the deep discussions that they have at school. They get to eat lunch by a creek outside and be in nature and explore. They love their teachers Sarah and Rachel and the owners have facilitated a space where they look forward to going to school each day instead of waiting for the weekend!"
