"I have been coming here for a few months and I get consistently good results. I’m very picky with my acrylic nails and no matter which nail tech I get I have a good experience. Plus, there’s a Starbucks next door so it’s convenient to get my drink and walk a couple feet to get my nails done. I usually request Yen, but today she wasn’t available so I had Marco for the first time. He did a really great job with the shape and even the little details. At other nail salons, I notice they easily skip over the little details which do make a difference at the end. For example, the techs here will make sure the curve of your acrylic nail looks natural and they will even smooth out under the acrylic nail when you get a fill. Just a great experience overall."

"Let me start by saying, my nails are almost non-existent due to years of anxious biting… But I had a work trip coming up and didn’t want to feel self-conscious or embarrassed. When I called to schedule, they were incredibly sweet and answered all my questions. They set me up with PARIS and I am so so happy with the results! She absolutely crushed the assignment! "I Paid $70 to have my nails destroyed. Here is a list as to why I will never go back to Ava Nails bar: 1) I previously had dip powder set that needed to be removed. The nail tech started filling my nails extremely vigorously to the point where he cut me on three different places. And yes, it did start bleeding but he did not apply any antiseptic on it, instead he resumed filling like nothing has happened. One of the cuts is visible on the photos. (The photos with the cup are immediately after the salon experience and the ones with the green background are 5 days later). My nails felt like they were on fire and the cuts were not helping either. I even gasped in pain and pulled my hand because this man was so oblivious to the fact that he is hurting me. Meanwhile the tools he is using looked so crusty and 100% were not disinfected so I was worried that my open wounds can get infected. 2) after this painful experience the nail tech does not wash my hands, does not even wipe them clean, they are covered in residue from the dust. He does not clean my cuticles. He does not apply acetone to remove the dip residue that was still on my nails. You know what he does instead? Starts applying the gel and dipping it in powder for my new nail set. At this point I am horrified and seriously contemplating to just stand up and walk away but I am too nice and stay thinking it might get better. Wrong!! He starts shaving off the dip so it does not look too bulky. But the way he shaved it made my nails look wavy. Bulky at the base, then there is this slope in the middle and it goes back up towards the top. (You can see it in the photos) I saw one nail and asked him to shave it correctly but when I left and took a better look I saw that all of them looked wavy and ugly. Not to mention that there were bumps from the dust particles that he pained over, instead of cleaning my nails first. He gave me the full landlord special. 3) at this point my nails are done, finally i go to wash my hands and my fingers hurt so badly from the water touching all the cuts he made on my fingers. There was blood under my pinky nail from one of the cuts. I can not make this up, even if I wanted to. Then he took not more than 5 seconds to clean my cuticles and by that i mean cut some excess skin on 3 of my fingers. And finally he hands me a note that says $70. This is by far the most horrible and expansive nail experience that I had. And the only reason I went there is because the other salon I go to was closed that day."
