"I bring my Cub Scout Pack here every year for our fall/winter camp out. The camp is always clean, well maintained, and it offers great amenities (clean bathrooms, covered group pavilions, etc). The area is also teeming with wildlife and is not uncommon to see deer moving through the area. Highly recommend for all types of campers, day trippers, etc."

"I could actually give this camping area 3 1/2 stars. As with most places around Georgetown lake, most of these spots are VERY CLOSE to each other. A few are spaced out nicely but not many. Reserve 2 together if you want a bit more privacy. Only a couple sites have views of the lake, the rest is wooded area. It was very quiet until my neighbors came home, then they were so loud it was very disruptive. Park hosts are very nice and helpful. Bathroom is very basic but has running water and works . It is close to the hiking trail."

"Fun place that gets super packed on weekends and holidays. The swimming area can end up looking like a California beach with people packed in like sardines, but on calmer days, it's great. Clean and pretty water. There are plenty of restrooms around and camp sites with little screened in covered spaces up on the hill. If you have a dog, keep in mind that the swimming beach is heavily enforced for service dogs only. There is a cove near the boat dock with a pretty steep, rocky incline that is meant for the non service pups to enjoy with their owners. Bring shade if it's a sunny day or you'll be making a short trip of it. The park has limited capacity, so if you arrive late, be ready to wait in a long line. It's like a club, one vehicle out makes space for another to enter, and the line can be super, super long. Also, the guy working the gate was very impatient and rude up until the point that we paid, so be prepared for that. All in all, it's a fun place to enjoy Lake Georgetown."

"Great park, gate staff is always friendly, we prefer this location for lake access, it has a big boat ramp, plenty of room and parking. On holiday's definitely get there early. We also enjoy the picnic area, great location for grilling. It's the perfect location to spend the day swimming or out on the skis! One of our favorite spots in Georgetown."

"Great park for camping or a day visit. We LOVE site #21. Great views of the water though no direct access to water unless you hike down the very steep side. Super short drive to the pepple beach. Clean bathrooms. No shade at the beach and can get very busy on weekends. Definitely worth bringing your inflatable boats or paddle boards, lots of beautiful places to explore on the water. Very kid friendly."
