"I took my vehicle to Marshall’s for an inspection today because my son said that he has had good experiences with them in the past. Luckily I am cautious about leaving valuable items in my vehicle because when I returned for pick up, after a failed inspection, I noticed that some of my belongings were rearranged. I then realized that my glove box and console had been invaded. Not only that, I had change in my door. All of the quarters were missing. I immediately walked back in and told the manager about my discovery and asked him what they were looking for. He tried to reassure me that nobody would take anything from me because that had not happened in the last 20 years. I told him again that I wanted to know what they were looking for. He walked into the shop area and spoke with (I assume) the mechanic that performed the inspection. When the manager came back to the desk he told me that the inspector was looking for a document showing my phone number or address to contact me. Does that even make sense when that same manager asked for all of that information when I dropped the vehicle off to him?!! No. Not at all. I did not receive and apology or anything indicating that the manager was remorseful. Therefore, I am not trusting that Marshall’s provided a legitimate inspection and definitely do not trust them with mechanics. My son who recommended Marshall’s to me is thankful that he did not take his classic truck there and is definitely not returning for future business. Word of mouth travels fast, but reviews speak even louder sometimes. That said, I give ZERO stars to Marshall’s Auto Service in Maplewood!!! *** EDIT: I called to talk with the owner today 10/25/23 and the manager told me that he is the owner. Still no apology. Therefore, my review is here to stay."
