"Best sandwich spot in Belleville, maybe the entire Metro East. Our favorite is the cajun turkey sub, which has just the right amount of spice. Ingredients are always fresh and yummy. A couple times they have been out of certain kinds of bread, but whatever kind of bread we get we end up liking. A great, locally owned and run deli! Friendly service and great food, and cheaper than the boring sandwich chains too!"

"Uncle Nick's Deli is in an old Subway building located right next to Denny's. I never see anyone in the parking lot and fear they aren't getting the business they need to stay open, which is unfortunate because their sandwiches are delicious! The deli is right off the highway, which would make you think it's a prime location. But it's actually a little difficult to access. I've seen the deli for a couple of years and didn't have a real interest in trying it out (only because I don't frequent delis). But then my daughter's boyfriend pointed it out the other day and said that they make the BEST italian sandwich in the world. So my husband and I went back the next day for lunch and ordered the italian and turkey bacon ranch club. You can request your sandwich be toasted (just like at Subway), which I highly recommend. When we finished lunch, we agreed that the sandwiches were better than Subway's, but not better than Penn Station's. However, you might spend a bit more if you go to Penn Station and you're supporting a small business here. I'll be back and will hopefully try their homemade potato salad."
