"I truly like this place. Great bar buckled to the restaurant so if you're looking for the comfort of a casual bar with a good selection or looking for a good menu, The Railshake is worth checking out. Visited last weekend and enjoyed the Flight of soups. Good eats."

"Better than the average local restaurant/bar. Unique food menu with some staples of a good bar food. Good beer selection, not a great spirits/whisky selection. Bartenders I've had were mostly wait staff who also tend bar sometimes. Prices on whiskey neat are competitive, order a double and expect to pay nearly bottle price at retail."

"Ordinarily I don’t leave highly critical reviews, but our experience last night warrants one. 1) My boyfriends draft beer was flat, but he didn’t have a chance to ask for a new one because our server didn’t return to the table for long enough that he decided to drink it before it was flat AND warm. 2) I ordered a salad as a side with my meal and it took 45 minutes to come out 3) It took another 20-30 minutes for our entrees to arrive, and my boyfriends burger was lukewarm. He asked for ketchup but it took so long for the server to return with ketchup that he decided to eat his food before it was cold. 4) When we finally got our bill we had been at the restaurant for nearly an hour and 45 minutes. We paid with a credit card and when the check came back to sign, the total was increased. After reading the fine print we discover it’s because there is a 3.5% fee when cards are used. Times are tough, we get it. But seriously? Independently, none of these issues would be worth mentioning. However, we have noticed over the past several months the quality of service and food portions have both diminished. It was clear that our server was stretched thin, as she had the entire bar area as well as tables on the patio, so I can’t fault her for poor staffing. However, there were multiple staff members (including the owners) sitting at the bar receiving much more prompt service. As patrons, when you see the owners of the establishment watching staff members drown while sitting at the bar drinking instead of jumping in to help, it says a lot. As a former service industry worker, I can say first hand that I am understanding of mistakes and service flaws. But this was too much."

"On a beautiful evening, we ate outside on their patio. I had the cod fish special and my wife had their burger and tater tots with a salad, that we shared. My special included seasoned potatoes and asparagus. All our food was very good. The high light was a freight train speeding by what seemed to be only yards away. The service was good and the price was mid range. We look forward to our next visit."

"Outside seating was great and the service was pretty good. The food is a bit overpriced for what you get. I thought the teriyaki wings were nothing special; off the shelf kind of glaze drizzled/poured over (not shaken/complete coverage). The fried mushrooms were decent, but either overpriced or under-served (smaller portions). The cod was fairly basic, with the potatoes probably being the best part of the meal. Finally, my brown ale was "freshly tapped", but was flat as could be. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, but it's always worth a one time to see if you possibly have a different experience. I might go back to see how the brown ale is with some actual carbonation. I could be bias, but I feel like you can see how flat the beer is."
