It's very time-consuming and doesn't make any sense to do it by phone and be informed in the end that the nearest doctor is 4h car drive away. Please check availability first and only then ask other information. It will save a lot of time for everyone."

"I've spent nearly an hour this morning listening to elevator music just trying to schedule an appointment with a doctor who may or may not accept my insurance. When the scheduler finally answered, she had no idea about insurance coverage and transferred me to the billing department, which also does not answer. Does anyone actually work at this clinic?"

"Nice people and good doctors, but very difficult to get a hold of. No email, no direct line to their department within TX Children's, and very difficult method of setting up MyChart and getting access to your child's account. I had to create the account, then call TXC to gain access, then work with MyChart support/TXC to gain access to send messages to our doctor, then again to link my child's account to my account, then there was some inexplicable expiration date for my access to my child's account, so I need to go through the process again ... Also, long hold times when you call in."

"This was probably the worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctors office. We were asked to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork, so we did. We then waited for 30 minutes past our appointment time to be taken to the back. Once in the back we waited 30 more minutes before my husband stepped out to request an update on when we would be seen. (The doctor was standing there laughing with the medical assistant having a casual conversation.) The doctor told my husband it would be 10 more minutes before she could see us because her current appointment was running long. Then after 10 minutes she came in and says she’s sorry for the wait blah blah blah. Fine. She goes into this long story about how she can’t test my daughter to see if she’s allergic to penicillin because it’s not standard practice, she suggested giving her penicillin and if she goes into anaphylactic shock they can then test her…WHAT. Why did they take the copay and schedule us if they won’t test her? They clearly saw what the referral was for, so why waste our time?"

"Update: We are so appreciative of Dr Humphrey’s patience and care. We have been working with her for my son’s food allergies for 2 years now and I am so grateful for her knowledge and conservative approach. She takes the health, wellness, and safety of her patients as her top priority. Would give her and her staff 10 stars if I could! Dr. Humphrey is so wonderful! She is always so kind and positive and always takes the time to answer all of our questions. We never feel rushed with her or her nurses. Highly recommend if you are looking for close, quality, loving care for your little one."
