The Braxton Apartments

"I wouldn't recommend renting here! They gave me a unit that was not even ready, the bathroom sink was clogged up and rusted, They had to rip it out and put in a whole new vanity plus two new holes in the bathroom wall. Just to fix on one problem, they had multiple people come in my unit every other day in just a week and the problem still wasn't fixed. On top of that I was without a stove for a week and half since I moved in, I had to use a single plug-in burner for the days that the stove wasn't on. Oh sounds great doesn't ? Not . Also it seems like they don't change the air filters often , seeing how filthy and gross it was. They seem to constantly have plumbing issues, so the water is constantly off during the day . Save your money because these apartments are not even worth the 895/month with all the water damage that is has . Poor management & Poor maintenance . Amber is very very rude and unprofessional. She keeps threatening me . I don't even feel safe in my own apartment. They say they accept dogs but they really don't, since apparently my dog barks too much and I have to get rid of her . NOTHING BUT LIARS INDEED. Update - Same apts just different names Braxtons still terrible complex!"

"Scheduled appointment through their site/call center through a nice lady named Sandy. I arrived promptly on time for my appointment. Was greeted by I believe she said she was the Operations Manager, she was very nice but she had no idea I had a scheduled appointment also had no idea about which utilities were covered in rent and also no idea about basic details of the apartments. She then told me some other lady would be showing me the apartments, I forgot her name but she was 10-15 minutes late to my appointment, however tardy and all the other lady also seemed nice as well. I was interested in 2 apartments that fit my budget just to find out that the internet pricing IS NOT accurate because of all the hidden charges that ARE NOT displayed online. Each apartment is approximately $200, or more expensive then what you see online. For example the E2 is listed at $810 online, when I got to the apartments it was $830 + the hidden fees of $75 which I was told was for cable,internet,and valet trash and electric is billed back to you + other admin hidden fees. I wanted to know what my actual rent would be so she looked at the leger of someone with the same exact apartment andddd that same $810 apartment with all the hidden fees and management magic came to a grand total of $1,035.47 per month. After finding this out the only reason I decided to view the apartments is because I had driven so far and I was already there. To be completely honest with anyone reading this, the apartment isn't worth $1,000+ a month. The parking lot is in very rough shape tons of potholes and bad footing, felt similar to a rollercoaster ride not to mention all the cigarette butts and other debris on the property grounds that has nothing to do with their renovations. The tardy nice lady shows me these 2 "NEWLY RENOVATED" units and I'm not sure what they looked like before but they weren't really that renovated just seemed like they slapped some paint on the walls and a little flooring. When inside the apartment it almost feels like a trailer to me.They had large patios but they were pretty much dirty unfinished wood. Also had decent sized walk in closets.One of the units I viewed had a badly centered range hood over the stove, it basically only covered half of the stove. They need lots of improvement on this property. I personally am staying away from this apartment completely after my tour. Good luck if you lease with them for $1000+ a month, it isn't worth it. Hope this helps and saves time to any potential renters like myself that's in the market for an apartment."

"We have been very happy with our experience at The Braxton. Maria is very nice and easy to work with. The apartments have had a lot of work done to them and they look amazing and you can't beat the price."

"If I can tell you anything it is to NEVER move in here. I had no AC for 4 months. The office never answers. The maintenance men will BREAK IN TO YOUR APARTMENT! They left mine completely trashed multiple times! Maria doesn’t stand by her word what so ever! She promised me 2 months free rent for the ac not working then never took it off and tried to evict me! Also there are bugs everywhere! Do not live here they should be shut down!!!"

"I have been through the entire process which had initially started in April/May, forked over the application fees, and have been approved/assigned an apartment (allegedly.) But I have not gotten any additional information as far as a lease/terms, when it will be available, or the amount due. It has been an absolute nightmare to get a hold of anyone at this complex. I have called and left so many messages with the "answering service", but nobody will call me back. I’ve stopped by multiple times, and nobody is ever at the office. Very shady, and very unprofessional."
