"Current management steal from the renters I just found out one of the tenants pays 1,050 for his 2 bedroom unit which is exactly the same as my friends unit and these mf’s have been charging my friend 2100. Another thing they trick you into telling you they pay light bill to get more money the person in office signs the money orders with her signature not the apartments stamp. Definitely shady and definitely take advantage of undocumented persons. STAY AWAY"

"We applied here in January of 2022. We gave the previous management $450 in money orders to pay our deposits. Apparently we got accepted but it was difficult to talk to them— both old and new management since they were going through a management change. So after almost a month of not being updated about our unit, we went in person to find out what was going on. Of course, as expected with external looking run down places like this one, they lost our application and COULD NOT give us a refund. Mind you, it’s already March and I have not yet seen or been updated about my money. I already tried contacting the old management, the current management, and the city. It’s bad enough that they casually lost $450 but it’s worse when NO ONE can help me get my money back. Every time I pass by here, it frustrates me. Hopefully you don’t go through this with them but I did, and that’s why I give these apartments one star because I’m running out of options on how I’m able to receive my money back. Ps. It’s April going to May. We have not received our money. Thinking about pressing charges. Ps. Pt2. It’s about to be 2023 and my issue has not been resolved. I ended up going to some luxury apartments in Cedar hill. Best decision ever. I’m sure the old property manager stole my money. Called PLS and they told me it was cashed in. I only hope the new management is doing this place some justice."

"Unfortunately, my kids and I did not have a very good experience here. I will say that the new management and head of maintenance, are working very hard to fix many of the problems, but they have inherited an extremely difficult situation with this neglected apartment complex. Some of the things that we experienced here were roaches crawling everywhere no matter how much I cleaned. Our only bathroom leaked from the ceiling for three months literally flooding the bathroom with two inches of water with a bad smell, even after repeated attempts to fix it. My oldest son's bike was stolen off of our enclosed porch not too long after we bought it. The wooden floor boards in our bedrooms were rotten, and caused a mold smell throughout the apartment to the point where our clothing smelled like mildew and mold. We were constantly doing laundry, but we would have to leave our apartment smelling like mildew no matter how much we tried to keep things clean. The floor boards were eventually fixed (along with the bathroom) only after the City of Irving was called to enforce these code violations, after I put in many work orders and spoke to management on the phone or in person. This along with the fact that the manager was visibly irritated with me for putting in these complaints. The only thing I wanted was a simple, clean, functioning home for my kids, not some fancy resort. In all fairness, though, the lack of sleep from the constant noise in the middle of the night made me extremely upset and cranky, so I was not the nicest person myself. We also had an issue with neighbors running up and down the hallway at all hours of the day, even in the middle of the night, waking us up. My kids were late to school a few times because of this. We had another neighbor above us who allowed their son to run around and slam furniture and throw bouncing balls most of the day, and sometimes all night from 10:00PM to 3:00AM (I know this because I get up for work at 4:00AM). I tried to ask them to please stop, but was only met with a threats to, "hit me," and, "f"""" b"""""." We also had another family living nearby who got into a serious fight in the courtyard, screaming at each other in front of kids coming home from school. I was walking to the mailbox at the time on the phone with my boyfriend. One of the neighbors starts screaming at me, saying I'm calling the cops on him for fighting. It was pretty crazy. He came to my apartment and started shaking my gate and screaming, "You are going to get it!" I told him that I was just on the phone with my boyfriend, and he said, "Oh! He is going to get it, too!" I called the cops because of these threats. They spoke to him, and he later pushed in two of the fence posts (vandalism) onto my porch. I reported this to the office. It turns out that the guy was not even on the lease, but they put him on the lease after these events anyway. There is also not much the police can do without a video recording of something like this happening. I left that night with my kids and never came back to stay, only to get my things with my boyfriend. As a result after 8 months of living this way, I felt it was best for my kids and I not to return to the Village on West Irving. I put in a request to break my lease, and was initially told by the manager that they, "might not be able to accommodate me." I was eventually allowed to beak my lease after to speaking with corporate, and when I went to get the rest of my things, we discovered that my son's bed, which I bought new when we moved in, as infested with bed bugs. We have found a few at our new home, so I am in the process of spending a lot of money to get rid of them. Not to mention the $400 I lost having to throw out the new IKEA beds i just bought last November. Please read the previous comments and see what others are saying. It's not worth putting your family in a problematic situation."

"Apartments are awful. Management is usually deceitful. Maintenance will rig everything to work properly for a few days until it messes up again (if they even come at all). Heed warnings and pay rent online cause they are rarely in the office when you need them. If they don’t show up to receive the rent they will tell you it is your fault and penalize you anyway. There is no drop box to pay rent if no one is in the office. Roach and rat infested. Mushroom grew out of bathroom wall which indicates fungi and possible mold problem. Being homeless is more habitable."
