"Mixed Experience at Napa Oaks Apartments: Great Management, But Serious Issues Persist As a resident of Napa Oaks Apartments, I have had a mixed experience that I feel compelled to share. While the property management team deserves commendation for their professionalism and customer service, there are significant issues that need urgent attention. On the positive side, the property management team at Napa Oaks Apartments is truly exceptional. But, their approach to certain issues is very poor. However, despite the excellent management, there are serious problems with the property itself that cannot be overlooked. One of the most glaring issues is the poor quality of apartment upgrades. The featured upgrades in the units are subpar and do not meet expectations. From outdated fixtures to shoddy craftsmanship, it is clear that corners were cut during the construction process considering these apartments are “new”. When I moved into my unit there was a large gap in the door which cause cold air to consume the entire apartment no matter how high the heat was. The maintenance workers came and band-aided the door which they considered it repaired. At night my unit is still freezing cold even with the heat on 76 degrees. I stopped asking for this repair to be completed because it’s obvious they don’t care and won’t take the time or spend the money to make the proper repairs. Moreover, the walls and floors in the apartments are paper thin, leading to excessive noise from neighboring units. I can hear every footstep, conversation, and even the sound of furniture being moved from the apartment above me. Despite numerous complaints about noise disturbances, the management does not seem to enforce any measures unless it is after the designated quiet time. This lack of action is particularly frustrating for those of us who work from home and require a peaceful environment during business hours. Furthermore, my unit has been plagued by a persistent pest issue. Ants infestations are rampant, and despite bringing this issue to the attention of the management multiple times, a satisfactory solution has yet to be provided. The ants have bitten my daughter, and my wife and I are concerned for the health and safety of our family. It is disappointing that such a basic maintenance issue has not been adequately addressed especially when they’re charging us for the service every month. Pest control came once and I have to call every other day to voice my frustrations that the issue still persists. In conclusion, while the property management team at Napa Oaks Apartments is commendable for their professionalism, the property itself has serious problems that need immediate attention. The lack of soundproofing, poor apartment upgrades, and unresolved pest issues detract significantly from the overall living experience. As a resident, I hope that these issues are addressed promptly to improve the quality of life for all residents. Keep in mind that this property is also located right off of interstate 10, and with the lack of insulation throughout you also hear everything that takes place on the highways, all throughout the day/night. This has been a horrible experience especially considering the fact that we chose Napa Oaks over several well esteemed properties."
"Tanya was beyond friendly from the time we walked through that door up until we left. She has this amazing energy that any person would want to be around. Very knowledgeable on the property and surrounding area! Absolutely thrilled with the exceptional service from Lacie and her team! They've gone above and beyond to ensure my partner and I are taken care of in every aspect of our living experience. The dedication and attention to detail have truly made a difference. "If I could I’d leave no stars. Okay, so unfortunately I didn’t get the opportunity to be a tenant with this apartment complex community due to failed communication, sympathy, empathy, and the worst customer service. I will say when I first toured these apartments, Tanya Vargas was very pleasant and welcoming, but after that was when it went downhill. I received a quote for a unit I was interested in, and all I had to do was apply online to get the process started. After I applied, I received information request emails and replies from Tanya and her team. Once I gave them all they asked for, I never heard back from them regarding my application. So I had to call and email a couple times… I will say it’s very hard to get a hold of them as they rarely answer the phones. It seems they respond to emails. I just kept getting the run around until a week prior to when I was planning to move in…. I received my welcome email and move in next steps. Like what’s up with that? Why a week before? How are we supposed to coordinate our time to move in, time to find furniture, time to book movers, etc.??? That is poor customer service! We should know within a few days if we’re accepted and be emailed our welcome home letter. So of course it caught me off guard, and I already had plans for the remaining of the month because I didn’t think I’d hear back or my application was accepted. I had to respectfully delay my move in date until January, when I should have been upset and complained… but I was nice enough not to. So there I go actually giving them the benefit of the doubt and a second chance, and here we are almost through with January and I still haven’t moved in. I’ve been calling and gave them everything they asked for. They never cared to call and leave a voicemail either. They said they called and emailed me, but no they didn't. I get a lot of spam calls daily and I don’t answer, but you would think they would leave a voicemail if they want to be professional. They didn’t leave me a voicemail either. I would have called them right away if they did. I last spoke to Tanya 2 days ago, and she told me they had to cancel my application because they never heard from me. That’s bull. It was the other way around. They played their games and obviously don’t want me as a tenant. So fine I’ll take my money elsewhere to a complex that does AND CARES. This complex does not. Tanya even told me she would see what she can do with my application and call me back… she never did. This complex lies. So now I have to look for another apartment complex when I should have been moved in and by the first weekend in February the latest, but that’s not going to happen thanks to Napa Oaks and its poor team. Oh and this complex also came out on the news a week ago with some of their units that got damaged and one of the 3rd floors collapsed and caved in because of a sprinkler system. These apartments are brand new! How is that? Well that should say something else about this place. It wasn’t built properly and probably not in compliance. So you’re welcome Napa Oaks."
"Everything has been good for now, the team at the leasing office is always friendly and helpful. the club house,pool all the amenities are amazing and the apartments. but just the parking is kind of heavy at nights even though there are many empty apartments yet in my area which seems strange to me but everything else is perfect and maybe they will fix that."
"Here is an honest review of our experience so far. The office staff is very professional and helpful. They seem very overwhelmed at times, but they remain responsive and kind through every issue. The maintenance team is also great, they are very quick to respond and understanding when it comes to concerns. Unfortunately when you move here, you deal with the consistent stress of a new build. For starters, our move in date was changed two days before move in due to a failed inspection. When we moved in, our apartment looked like the builders picked up their tools and left. The floors were filthy, paint was everywhere, our toilet was clogged, we were missing insulation, and one of our blinds were too short for the window so we had to put a blanket up to avoid letting people see into our home. (And this is just some of the issues we reported to maintenance.) Throughout our first week, it’s been issue after issue. I feel so awful having to submit so many maintenance requests because of everything that’s wrong with this brand new place. The latest development in our week here, is that our walls and countertops shake because they are attached to a sprinkler room. A loud banging noise accompanies the shaking and it happens randomly all day and all night. The noise is loudest in our second bedroom so we cannot sleep or work in that room at all. The Napa Oaks team is already working on it as they stated that someone would look into the issue , but I’m not sure if and when we will be able to use our guest room for any type of sleep or work. I understand that this may be a bit harsh, but I want to be honest with my experience thus far. I will be sure to update my review if any changes come. But if I was looking into living here, these are things I wished someone would’ve told me. I don’t think the issues have a lot to do with the Napa Oaks team specifically as they are doing the best that they can, but I am certainly learning the harsh reality of moving into a new build. **UPDATE: The maintenance issues have been resolved, and they were taken care of within the same week of reporting the issues. As stated previously the Napa oaks team has done their absolute best to fix each and every issue. I cannot say enough good things about this maintenance team and their dedication to this community."
