Garden Creek Apartments

"If you are looking for an apartment in Boerne, look no further. Garden Creek is a hidden gem. We were building a home and needed a short term rental(6 mos) until our home was finished. Maddie, the leasing manager, was exceptional in understanding our needs and working with us to get a short term lease approved. The apartments are new and have an open concept which actually makes them feel like you aren’t living in an apartment at all. We had a couple things that needed to be fixed and both things were fixed within 24 hours. This place is really well run. We always felt safe here as it is in a neighborhood and right next to the Sheriffs station. Although there are no amenities here, there is a walking trail nearby. The rent is less expensive than other apartments in the area so we didn’t care about the amenities.They also have social activities with free food and drinks. I can’t say enough good things about this place."

"New, quiet, well managed and large living spaces. Manager Maddie Harrell is super easy to work with and fun to talk to. She arranged a short term lease for me and worked with me to stay well within my budget. Lease rates are very competitive to other Apartments. When my lease was up for renewal, Maddie again offered me several options, all completely reasonable. I happily would recommend this place."

"Unfortunately, we have had a negative experience with this apartment complex. This is a newly built apartment complex. The bathrooms are broken, & after you flush sometimes the water on the toilet keeps running, if you do not stay until after it’s completely done flushing & the water keeps running, rest assured you will find your water bill in the hundreds. This doesn’t just happen to us, but our neighbors as well. Do better, Garden Creek Apartments. In our personal experience, Our dishwasher and shower were both put in wrong before we even moved in. We have showed this personally to Scott when he was doing something to our utilities, but both issues have never been fixed. We have just become accustomed to it now. The rent in my opinion seems very expensive for an apartment with absolutely zero amenities. This apartment does not have a pool or anything like that. We have just realized that newer apartments have opened up fairly close to this apartment complex, a little bit smaller in size, but they offer almost the same payment in rent ( a tiny bit more expensive), and offer so many amenities including a pool, and a clubhouse that has unlimited coffee and beer available for their residents (which I think is very cool). We wish we had moved here when our apartment lease was up. Occasionally, this apartment will offer little events like " Wine and Cheese Night" or free coffee and donuts, but honestly this fails in comparison to a pool and clubhouse with free coffee and beer in my opinion in the 107 summer of Texas. When we first moved in, we were under the impression that our water would be covered by the apartment complex and it was for the first few months, until they decided to change that, and we started getting charged for our water bill. No big deal, but the fact that it changed before our lease was even halfway up was very upsetting to me. The parking at this Apartment complex is very atrocious, there are simply NOT enough parking spaces outside the building I live in at night. I am constantly having to park in the street which isn't a big deal, but don't you think an apartment complex should be able to provide proper parking to its residents? The only reason parking is somewhat available now, is because many residents have moved out after their lease was up, (the three next to us are gone), and now there are many empty units in our building, if that tells you anything. The upside to this apartment complex, is that it is quiet. However, our apartment over the past year constantly smelled like weed. We are not sure where it came from, or how the smell was even able to cross over into our apartment, but the smell lingered for days at a time and l was extremely nauseated. My husband, and I found out we were expecting a baby, when we resigned our lease in July it was because we hated the idea of moving so much that staying here for just another year sounded better than that, because we weren't sure where my husband's job would take us within the next year. If we had known we would become pregnant we would NEVER have resigned this lease. Now we will have to lug our baby up multiple flights of stairs which is extremely dangerous in my opinion, and honestly this unit is okay for two people to live in, but entirely too small for a baby. We looked at the apartment lease to see what the penalty would be for breaking our lease would be, and it is actually a 4,000 dollar fine along with a 60 day notice. So basically you have to pay for 2 months of rent and 4,000 dollars. This is almost UNHEARD of. In most apartment complexes it is half of this to break the lease. Now we will be stuck in this horrible situation. If you like not having parking, having to pay upwards of 4,000 dollars to break a lease, having to wait until your toilet is completely done flushing before leaving, no pool in 107 degree weather, & the smell of weed… this is the place for you."

"My family and I just moved into our apartment this past week and so far it has been the best experience of apartment living for us. The area is quiet and peaceful, very clean and well kept! Maddie, the community manager, has also been such a huge help and blessing in our moving process. She has gone above and beyond with answering all our questions and making this process less hectic. 10/10 recommend Garden Creek Apartments!"
