"First of all Newport Apartments have a wonderful special for $750 off a 15 month lease. The new property manager is so patient and understanding. Now Miss Jones on the other hand is very transparent, but very welcoming. The property is very quiet, clean and safe for children. I would highly recommend anyone to move to Newport Apartments!"

"The rudest people you can dream of dealing with. I didn't even get as far as applying and these people were RUDE. Unhelpful and unprofessional people. Asked for pricing and availability and the women on the phone told me to look it up myself and just hung up. Kid you not. So, I don't know, maybe consider that before getting into it here. Update: I was contacted by phone by the manager who did apologize for my experience. While I still chose not to move forward, I did appriciate the gesture. She was helpful and answered the questions that did not get answered the first time around. Thank you."

"First off, I would like to mention that I work in housing and I perform inspections as a part of my job. This place would not pass! This has been my worst living experience ever. When I initially signed my lease, they did not honor my original quote even though I paid the required fees within the allotted time. There are always issues with the water. I have a recurring mold situation that the staff will not fix. They only paint over it. I have been sick with allergies and chronic headaches and it was advised by my doctor to leave as soon as possible. Code compliance has been called several times for 3 floods and several water leaks that I have had within the past year. They get over by telling Code Compliance that they are waiting on an outside contractor that never comes. Pest control does not come but I am charged monthly. Roaches and ants are bad and I have reported this repeatedly. I am getting charged for valet trash and they have never picked it up once but management does nothing. They have issues with their foundation, the pool has been broken since last year, the gate does not work, the laundry facilities are not usable, my mailbox has been broken into and this last time they did not give me a key for at least 3 months. I have even had a stalking situation where I feared for my life. When I discussed this with staff, they refused to move me unless I paid the $500 transfer fee even though they promised me concessions for charging me penalty fees for not having renters insurance which I have had since day one. They have changed management companies several times within the past year. I have to retell my story ever few months only to never get anything rectified with the current management company. Maintenance closes work orders that are not done all of the time. They even resurfaced my apartment while I was physically in it which led to me getting sick. No warning was given for me prior to the resurfacing and everything in the bathroom was ruined with toxic paint, and I was not able to remain inside of the apartment shortly after due to the fumes.There are hundreds of apartments in the area. Please save yourself the time and money by not moving here. Your health and safety matter even if Newport staff do not seem to understand this. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!"

"This people have no respect at all. Requested to fix my shower faucet for last 3 months that has no water coming which made me take shower outside the whole time …. After sending several emails and going to the office they still didn’t fix it. I feel I am treated like what ???? There are many other issues they haven’t fixed. These people treat us like we are from a jungle. They really need some real lessons."

"We have been having a flooding problem every time it rains since Oct, we reported it, we went to the office nothing was done. It kept happening. We let them know about it again recently due to the consecutive rain. We have been letting them know it's coming from the bottom of the foundation, how it is a safety hazard & possible mold. We have tried our best to take care of the floors in case of mold but there's only so much we can do, due to it raining a lot. We have already sent two written notice and no answer. We have done everything right per our lease and yet nothing has been done. In the lease it states they will respond in accordance with state law and lease contract to repair or remedy the situation as necessary, again nothing has been done."
