Silverton Apartments

"This is the best apartment you can think of in the Irving city. The best thing you will get here is the prompt response of your maintenance request or any other billing requests. Ms Joseph is the best manager of the property. I had requested to completely repair the countertop of kitchen after living here for 2 years, they completely repaired it and made it like a new. They do not just do the repair, they do the replacements if needed. The affordability is also competitive compared to the neighbouring communities."

"***Update*******DON"T RENT HERE*** It was a $150 credit toward rent, not $150 cash. It was also for a Christmas decoration contest. Not for writing a good review like the gift card raffles. Also they will charge you for sewer that should have been applied to the months that you were actively a tenet or should have been on the final rent payment/move out statement. However I go to pay the final move out statement that was issued on 12/12, I find 2 months of sewer from 8/30-10/31 that should have been on my final rent for November or even heck on my rent from September, or October. When asked why the charges were not on previous months rent statements and say it's a bit trashy for them to try to charge me more than two months after I have vacated the property they can't give me a straight answer and instead respond to my follow up with "Thank you for your emails, have a wonderful rest of your day." While I did enjoy my time at Silverton I can’t in good conscience leave a 5 star review. Biggest issue with them is they charge guests for parking. You can have up to 3 free guest parking permits. After that it’s $7-$8 per vehicle. If your guest doesn’t register the second they park in guest parking they will be towed. It go so bad for some of my guests that they refused to come visit anymore due to their car getting towed multiple times. While maintenance was usually very responsive to my apartment issues I did still have AC problems in my unit. Every summer I was in my apartment we could never get the AC to drop below 75° and multiple times it would be up to 78° at midnight. When addressing the issue the complex kept saying the unit was fine and it’s just too hot outside. But when it’s only 85° at midnight my unit should be able to cool below 78°. This is the main reason I left this complex as I can’t take another Texas summer in an apartment that can’t cool or even get down to a okay temperature. Having asthma and an AC that can’t control the humidity in the apartment don’t mix. Also word to the wise. Read your leases very carefully to make sure the $ amounts are correct. Had to address my prorate for November multiple times before the office got it correct. If you need to break your lease for any reason be sure to check the amount the lease state against what the office is saying. In my case the lease stated 85% of rent is the fee however the ‘system’ generated a number that was more than that. When I brought this to their attention it took them three tries to correct it. Also be sure to double check your rent statements. Had a Christmas credit that was applied to my rent in the summer. Again brought this to their attention and it again took them three tries to fix it before I payed my rent. While we do have package lockers to help reduce porch pirates they are often full or delivery drivers just don’t have the codes so most of my packages were still delivered to my apartment instead of the locker. They claim to have breed and weight restrictions but I saw multiple tenets that had restricted breeds and well over the weight limit so pet owners beware. The tenets also don’t pick up after their dogs very well. The dog park would routinely be covered in dog mess I stopped taking my dog there cause she kept getting sick every time we went. While I can say there have been improvements to the management of the complex since I moved in back in 2019 there have been some decisions I didn’t agree with like the car ports that got installed pretty much everywhere. Now you have to pay for a covered spot if you want to be able to park anywhere near your apartment or you will be fighting for one of the few uncovers spots close by. The gym is also only open during business hours. Basically if you don’t work from home you can’t use one of the amenities you pay for. One last thing if you stayed for this long of a review. Most of the recent 5 star reviews were given because the office runs gift card raffles. Leave a 5 star review and get your name put in the bowl. They have been running these for the last year now. So renter beware."

"The staff is what makes Silverton a great palace to be. I had odds stacked against me and Ms Josephine and Jasmine immediately jumped in to help me. I am forever grateful. The neighborhood is quiet and the grounds are clean. I couldn’t have asked for a better location. Thank you Silverton for being my forever home."

"It's been a couple months I been in Silverton apartment and from the start till now the office staff have been great and helpful. I am bless for these apartments because when you have issues they are there for you. honestly the management is one of the best. Wherever there's an issue they are there for us, Josephine helped alot. The apartments are clean and spacious. Me and my family is bless."
