The Ridge on 161 Apartments

"I have been a resident in these apartments for almost a year. Now I have complained about the roaches since the day I moved in they have sent out pest control all of maybe three times the whole time I’ve been here. I went into the office and showed them the pictures and videos that I had of the roaches. I showed the managers no one did anything. I also requested a unit change she said no they could not change my unit because of the roach infestation because I would take the roaches with me, when I had no roaches before I moved into this apartment. It’s to the point I can’t even buy groceries because I can’t cook in the kitchen because it is roaches in my freezer and it is roaches in my refrigerator. I tried to cook dinner the other day, and a roach fell in my pot. I made myself a bowl of noodles and it was a roach in my bowl as you can see in the pictures I have more videos and more pictures they would not allow me to post them all. I have a family of roaches living in my vents on my fireplace. I’ve shown all of this to the office they have done nothing nothing to change the problem at this point I have an 11-year-old and she cannot do anything without seeing roaches at night time we’re worrying about roaches being over our heads, while we’re sleeping, I have set in this room for three days and watch roaches come out of the ceiling, every time I turn around it’s a roach they told me that I was the only resident to ever complain about roaches and when I went on the website, I see that I am the 16th resident to complain about roaches, so this is an ongoing problem for these apartments, and they choose not to fix it at this point it has affected my families livelihood we cannot live like this. This is not sanitary especially when you have an 11-year-old daughter."

"New resident. Instead of writing a whole story going to provide quick notes. Bugs everywhere in unit, absolutely zero cleaning is done under appliances, cabinets, crevices of windows and sliding door. Loud water pressure in toilets, leaky faucets, scratches allover walls and doors, poor paintwork, etc. Staff is friendly enough, can’t speak on timeliness of repair requests quite yet. For “owner” response, don’t even waste your time responding we as in everyone in the complex, would rather you send professional cleaners to each unit with the money we spend on ridiculous fees you charge on top of rent."

"a couple things before you move in: loved the keyless locks but it wasn’t a safe environment for children or girls. maintenance has access to your apartment and can come by anytime, even without you requesting them. had a maintenance guy continuously harass us (he had our numbers) and was looking through our window until our neighbor caught him!! very scary is the main reason we moved plus if you have pest problems (every building on the property has them i’ve asked all the neighbors) they will do nothing unless you threaten legal action !!! remember : they can’t charge you rent if it’s an unlivable space!!! this includes water damage (pics below are from flooding from a light rain) edit: YES the office at the apartments knew about the creeper stalker maintenance guy.. they called to ask me more details and promised me an update but never got it just more creepy instances of him entering out home. VERY unsafe edit 2: I know they replied but it’s false, they did not further investigation as our neighbors continuously caught him looking through our windows trying to come in. At the time of the pest problems(all year), it was NOT due to uncleanliness as we got them despite cleaning and even before we moved any furniture into the apartment, meaning they were already there infested :) thanks for reaching out alice you suck"

"When I moved in almost a year ago I was looking for something as soon as possible and within budget, so this was perfect for me. It’s very conveniently located near the airport, so be mindful that you are likely going to hear planes overhead. I don’t really hear the cars on the highway unless I purposely listen for them. I will say that the only problems I had in my experience was when my dishwasher had stopped working. It took nearly 3 months for them to come look at it, but once they came they simply changed it out for a new one. There’s also the matter of roaches. I’m not sure why, but I always seem to find about 2 roaches a month in my apartment no matter how much I clean. It’s not frequent enough to feel justified in calling for pest control, but it’s constant enough to be concerned. Half the time I find a roach it’s already dead like it had been sprayed despite me only just having found it. So maybe there are other apartments as well with this issue. And I did have to put in a request once about finding a washing machine filled with dead roaches(?) Side note, I did find a lizard in my apartment once and threw it out. If it weren’t for being so close to the airport I might’ve given a lower rating, but for the most part I have felt safe living in these apartments. (Edit: I eventually called pest control about the roaches for my peace of mind. However, more roaches have appeared in my apartment since the first pest control call. Now I’m sometimes seeing a minimum of 6 a day and they’ll vary in size. Unfortunately it’s to the point that I’ll be moving out at the end of my lease)"
