Woodchase Apartments

"This is the first time in over 35 years that I have lived in an apartment. While it was a rocky start, it has turned out to be a wonderful place to call home. The staff are so sweet and helpful. I just renewed my lease for another year so they must be doing something right! I would absolutely recommend living here."

"I lived here for two years. Cool place but I had several issues over the two years. Staff had been great with me. First year of living there a few months in. —Apartment floods leaking ceiling managed to soak my carpet, bathroom rugs and a few electric’s that I kept in the kitchen. — valet trash is a joke. 2 days of the week. It’s the maintenance staff picking trash up from designated spots. Waste of $12. —a year goes by. Another flood in the apartment. Something about the people above tub wasn’t sealed right. —around march i noticed huge roaches around the building. Later on they were getting into the apartment. Huge roaches even the ones that FLY!! Told the complex. They said they’ll spray. Same day after work a huge roach was in my apt running at me! Soul left my body. I got tape, bug spray, door wedge’s to keep them out. They still managed to get in. Said “no” to the renewal lease. And moved out."

"Smokers make some areas of Woodchase stnky and unhealthy. Why do smokers have more rights than nonsmokers? There is NO safe amount of second hand smoke. When I sit on my patio I inevitably get cigarette smoke fumes and weed fumes from residents around me. I should not have to breathe cancer-causing polluted air. All apartments should be smoke free for the health and safety of all."

"*** HORRIBLE!!! The management is so very terrible and non-responsive. Lived here for a year and have had no less than 4 different management teams. They don't return voicemail messages, and rarely respond to emails. On active building (the tool used to pay and other things) they provide a bogus email address for complaints, and having been made aware of this, they still wont correct it. This last assistant manager Ms Rios is terribly rude in her emails, no matter what you need, her response always involves threats of fees. They are also racist, so if you are not of Mexican persuasion, you will have issues with the 100% Hispanic staff. I have noticed that my Hispanic neighbors have 3 to 4 times the amount of people living in the same space I live in and not one thing has been done about it, all the while my water & sewer cost for one person have almost tripled. The pool (s) water is most often green, so how is it possible to reserve it when you never know if it will be clean. Many apartments flood when it rains hard (coming in from worthless gutters) but they either can't or wont fix them. I could go on and on, but I have better things to do. Don"t say you were not warned. Had I seen the reviews I would NEVER have moved here."

"I’ve lived here for 6 months so far, and it’s been a pretty good experience. Very close to the parks, staff is friendly. Very close and convenient to the airport. Quiet, and having a yard is wonderful. Lawn care takes care of it every Tuesday! Grounds are kept pretty clean. Now, the only issues I’ve had are the AC units going out, however maintenance is swift in repairing them. Very kind and friendly. There are bugs, but that is common with older apartments and pest control is fast. They usually come on Thursdays in the morning to spray if you request it. I will say the apartments need minor updates, like new windows and doors. I also do wish these apartments got more natural light, but there is only so much I can ask for. The walls are thin, so you can hear neighbors dogs/beds creaking and sometimes conversations BUT this is rare. Overall, it has been a really good experience. Leasing office is willing to do everything they can to make you at home and help out. Rosie was wonderful in walking me through the leasing process with getting approved and everything. Online payment is smooth, I always pay rent 2-3 days early in case there are ever any issues with it going through, which there never are! Their Online system is wonderful. Pool is well maintained too! I would recommend these apartments if you are low maintenance lifestyle. It’s nothing too fancy, but it is a nice place to call home."
