The Truman at Arlington Commons

"I, future resident, went on a self-guided tour with Truman Apartments. I was given a key fob for apartment #136 and a 3rd floor unit. Both units were located indoors with carpeted hallways. It was explained that both units are models only. I applied a few days later and was approved. On my way from work I stopped by the complex to view the approved unit. Upon arrival, I was astonished. The apartment is located on the outside, at the back side of the complex, and facing the garage near a staircase. I immediately returned to the leasing agent and explained that I would like to switch units. I explained my reasons(above) and she responded, "it would cost more." I asked why since I already applied and paid both administrative and application fees. Herself and Chris,the manager went on about a group of tenants/players that ended their lease a few months prior to my arrival which left a few units vacant so basically, I'm responsible?? Ms. Richardson (leasing agent) told me there may be a vacancy in 2 months (April), but she would let me know. A week later, Ms. Richardson called and informed me that the tenant will be remaining in that unit that would have been available, and they have no other vacancies. So, I kindly asked for my administration fee returned. They can't offer me anything and my selected apartment was reserved for 14 days at the most. I was told NO. Their reasoning is because I cancelled, which I didn'T. Chris called to remedy the situation and asked if I would get an apartment today if he has one available. I said yes, of course! But he doesn't have one. This is a clear case of bait and switch. I was guided to units unlike the ones available. The map of the property DOES NOT accurately reflect the unit being outside. The leasing agents do not disclose this pertinent information for that building. There were multiple units available when I applied and if I had been informed of the details of unit #163, I would not have selected it. I chose this apartment complex because of the uniqueness/ hotel like atmosphere. Now I'm left with nothing and out of money."

"While looking around at other places The Truman stood out because of the staff that were very helpful. The manager Chris was amazing he was so helpful on helping pick a good place for me to move in to. As well as the maintenance team was very quick in assisting with the work orders for a few minor fixes."

"I have received some of the best treatment from the people in the office!! The manager, Christopher is very amazing and he gets stuff done very quickly, which is better than the old management. Also The leasing agents, Tatum is an amazing person, Very Attentive and always gets the job done! And also the other leasing agent, Dominique is very sweet, and also very accommodating. Overall, I’m very happy and definitely recommend to move here!!"

"Moving from a college apartment complex I was really scared to go to an apartment again. I got so worried about moving into an apartment again after the awful things I experienced. But, living at the Truman has been the most amazing experience. From the amenities to the quality of the apartment itself, everything is phenomenal! The office staff is also so incredibly helpful and I feel cared about as a person and not just another lease. Chris has made me feel so welcome and Tateum is so helpful and so absolutely sweet anytime I go to the office! No matter what sort of questions I ask, I am always met with kindness and you can tell the staff truly cares!! If you are looking for a staff that cares, this is definitely the place!"

"Just had an amazing tour of this impeccable property by Chanda and all I can say is where do I sign? Seriously, the amenities outshine the competition effortlessly and the sound proof halls are definitely a plus! I love the gathering spaces that you can rent (pictured below) and the apartment itself! I will definitely be moving here soon."
