"I've been a resident for 2 years and had no problems. The staff has always been nice and polite. If there are negative reviews on here its because people want to have things to go their way and not follow the rules. If someone doesn't want to follow the rules they should move into a single family dwelling, when you live on someone else's property you have to respect the rules and regulations of your lease."

"My mother was a resident of 3-1/2 years and moved out just recently to transition into assisted living. My mom liked her apartment and the great access to shopping and medical providers. The biggest issues my mother faced were that her car got towed last year and that the staff were constantly changing. My understanding was that the building was sold 3 times in as many years with all new management each time. The property is clean and bright and I don’t think there is anything in particular to deter anyone from living there. I will say that in the years my mom stayed there, the residents tended to be much more elderly than in the beginning. I would say that the residents now tend to be 70 and up whereas before it looked more like a regular apartment mix."

"I wish I could give a -5 star review. So grateful that my grandma is getting out of here this month after 4 years! Completely astounded by the customer service/ office staff and management. There is NO respect from the office staff. Nothing ever gets fixed or at least fixed the right way so it doesn’t happen again. People trespass all the time due to the gate being open 90% of the time. Very unsafe environment and would never recommend this place. They have a great “front” and pretty nice apartments but don’t be fooled! I could not even fathom thinking of her staying here another year! BEWARE! DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN THESE APARTMENTS. IT IS FAR MORE TROUBLE AND YOU CANNOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE (trespassers and management)."

"I just moved here this weekend. All the office staff have been great prior to me moving here which I'm thankful being a woman disabled veteran. I was referred by church member and my minister whose sister has lived here for years. I'm not able to drive due to my military injuries that have disabled me. Yet, as I stated earlier the staff meaning the management have been very exceptional to my needs. I'm not originally from here, I'm a Pacific Islander Chamoritta. The environment is safe and family oriented that my family from the youngest who can talk was very very happy his Nana has a place called home. My new home is here which has new paint throughout the place, new carpet, I believe new appliances which is definte plus. The reason I say this I had an emergency move for I was living in animal and bug infested duplex that didn't care from the owner's side, I didn't even stay 1 year. My old place management from the beginning lied to the inspector that they would take care of a vital matter to pass it. Yet I suffered for 5 weeks in 100 degrees due to a faulty a/c heat central unit that the oitside unit was new and the inside should have been new but it took housing to step in after this long period of waiting that I had to be close to being hospitalized for the proper repair was done and it the maintenance went downhill when another owner and management took over. So I know from experience between great and horrible management is about which here at Evergreen at Hulen Bend is great and fabulous. I have made several referrals for not only veterans with limited fixed income like myself but other elderly to get a place here. Also, when I first was searching for a home on a fixed limited income there was a waiting list, yet when it became necessary I was blessed to have an opening in my dire exceptional vital need. The staff has made my transition smooth from the stress from my old unhealthy and unsafe old home. Additionally, I met the other staff such as the maintenance man and another lady who were very professional and respectful to my needs. I was informed just today that there is a waiting list for I am referring others. So you can see as I stated earlier that this is a wonderful beautiful home for your loved ones for they will not be alone, have a variety of activities during the week to socialize too."

"Very unhealthy and dangerous place to live. How can the dept of health not shut this place down. Mold in the walls and ceiling. Emergency lights that don't work. Numerous fire hazards and violations. They take advantage of seniors in pathetic ways. Dear owners, I have multiple pictures of health, fire, and safety violations. The reason I can't be found in your database is I don't live there anymore. Concerning taking reviews seriously: the woman whose ceiling leaked for 8 months and was never repaired, the woman who had sewage leak from an electrical fixture and had to clean her own apt., the woman who had her apt. flooded 3 times, the woman whose door leaked so bad you could smell the mold, the multiple negative surveys by residents that resulted in nothing being done, what exactly do you take seriously?"
