"Absolutely love living here! Ascent lake worth is a whole lot better than where we were staying in North Richland Hills. The Apt is upgraded and we have a 3/2 and what I love is there is no roaches thank God!!! The property is maintained and when we need something done at the apt they come right away. The office staff is really helpful and super nice! There’s a beautiful view of the lake and it’s very peaceful. ☺️"

"We absolutely hated everything about this place from the location down to the front office. I understand that it was by a lake but the bug infestation was a true nightmare. Up until the month our lease was up, we had to deal with pest control. Even at that, they went through 3 different companies and none helped. The front office NEVER picked up the phone. I’ve walked up there plenty of times after they don’t answer and they’re just sitting there. The dog park is a huge catfish. The little obstacle course they have is all mistreated and broken. There’s absolutely no grass at all, it’s all dirt and rocks. There’s a kids playground and the residents let their dogs do their business within that park, it’s disgusting. There’s been instances where they let their dogs poop inside buildings and maintenance took weeks to clean it up. The apartment itself was dirty when we first moved in. Dead bugs within the cabinets and between the appliances. Where the carpet met the vinyl floor, there were nails you could feel poke you if you were barefoot. The windows build up condensation in the cold because they have old windows and water puddles up on the window trim. The patio door was crooked and had gaps where bugs could come in, we had to cover that up ourself because we realized maintenance just DIYs it with bare minimum effort. ALSO, when you request for maintenance to come fix something in your apartment, it doesn’t matter if you request a certain time and day because they still won’t show up. They don’t let you know before hand either when they can show up. We purchased a parking spot and it never failed that someone was always parking there. So parking can be frustrating. The power was always going out, water pipes always breaking so they always had to shut off the water for hours. The paint job was poorly done, we would set stuff down and things would literally stick to the shelf pulling the paint off with whatever you placed there. Whenever it rains, the hallways would leak where the lights are leaving a huge puddle of water that gets soaked up into the carpet."

"DO NOT RECOMMEND moving here. Many reasons why but to start if you would LOVE to live in an apartment building that catches on fire and property management thinks you should remain living in that building after the fire this is the place to live! Roach infested, disrespectful office staff who turn around and call you disrespectful when this place is unlivable! Smells like cigarette smoke but yet the units are “smoke-free” dog feces and trash in hallways … must I keep going? Buildings are not up to code but they claim they are. Mold growth in bathrooms, uneven floors in every room, water is always turned off due to leaks, parking is absolutely ridiculous and the list just keeps going. Homeless people living in the surrounding woods, going through the trash cans and walking the parking lots at night. If I could give a -100 star rating I would. This place should be shut down and they are just taking money from people and do not truly care about their residents, well being and health. This is NOT the place to live. Jessica and the entire front staff is rude not to mention they screen phone calls and won’t answer the phone to add to the problem, but if you call from another number that does not have your name listed they answer on the first ring … just a little hint if you want your call promptly answered!"

"We moved here in 2005. Despite having many issues over the years (roaches, car towed once, water supply problems, cruddy ac unit, and more) the Ascent is probably one of the better apartment complexes in the area. Last year we had to move to a new apartment because ours was to be remodelled, so we had a look at the other places nearby, because if we had to move then maybe there was a better place to go to. Nope. The cheaper ones were either full or looked iffy, others charged more - there were none that we liked or could afford. In the end we stayed with Ascent, in a nicer apartment. We've never had bad problems with maintenance or office staff (with one notable exception under previous owners) and our neighbors are generally ok. And remember, oh one star reviewers, you always catch more flies with honey than with vinegar."
