"I moved here to Texas from Virginia back in January and needed a new place as the lease was ending at the place. Applied and viewed an apartment fairly quick. Haven't really had any complaints being here. Maintenance is super responsive upon request and management has done a great job with renovations and acknowledging the well being of their tenants."

"UPDATE: I finally moved out of the complex thanks to a job offer in a different city. Then, nearly two months later, I get a call from a collection agency about an unpaid bill with this complex. Turns out they have been sending bill statements to my address at the apartment complex that I had clearly moved out of. Why management thought I would receive that mail is still unclear. They certainly had a phone number they could have called me at and asked for my new address. I was unaware of any loose ends left at Ventura Flats until this collection agency call. Thanks for that final goodbye Ventura! OLD REVIEW FROM JANUARY 2017: I was pretty excited to move into this place. Everything was pretty well updated and the size of the apartment fit me perfectly. The problem I came to find later was the constant issue of having a basic first world amenity: water. Water is constantly shut off, sometimes without notice, and you'll be lucky to get hot water. This winter alone I've had to go without hot water twice now in less than a month. Alerting management or the owners of the complex is no easy task. The apartment was recently moved to a new management group that had changed all the contact information. When I tried to contact them recently none of the information worked, not the telephone, not the email. It was ridiculous. Finally I just had to do a good old Google Search to find the management group and see if they could finally get me in touch with our local manager to see what was going on. Normally the local team is great and really try their best but after waiting two days to hear back about this no-hot-water situation I had to go a step further. Frankly I'm disgusted that this apartment complex has continued to have water issues since a year and a half ago when I moved in and still has yet to implement a permanent solution."
