"Lived here for 8 yrs never had problems with anything until today just wanted a parking sticker, I was asked if I received 1 when I first moved in well 8 years ago we didn't have them. Want 20.00 for me to get one 1st the only reason I want is to park under covered parking since right now I cannot park in the garage. Don't move here the longer you stay the more they want from you! Just venting!"

"I have lived here for going on 2 years, after I sold my house and have really loved it. The school's (elementary & the middle school) are in Frenship ISD and RIGHT around the corner which is SO convenient. I also love that we have an attached garage to our apartment. The maintenance staff here is amazing and has taken the best care of us & the office staff has always been helpful. I would definitely recommend anyone to Ashton Pointe Apartments."
"Do NOT move here. I would give zero stars if I could. My husband and I are currently having an issue with a neighbor and it is not getting resolved. We keep smelling marijuana in our apartment, coming from one of our neighbors, and the office won't do anything more than give out notices about the "no smoking" policy, even though any kind of smoking is a lease violation in the contract. I'm pregnant, and even with that to consider, they keep telling us that all they can do is keep sending out notices since they do not know who exactly is doing the smoking. In the beginning they told us they would take steps, but it seems the only step they can take is to send out notices, which the neighbor doesn't seem to care about because we keep smelling it, including the day they sent out their notice. They then proceeded to tell me that if I'm unhappy, an option would be to transfer units, but with a $300 fee. When I asked about terminating our lease without penalty due to their inability to do something about whichever neighbor is smoking marijuana, they told me that we would still have to pay $2000 to terminate our lease, even though they are the ones not able to uphold their side of the contract in finding out which neighbor is violating their contract and stopping them. In the contract it does state, " Enforcement of our no-smoking policy is a joint responsibility that requires your cooperation in reporting incidents or suspected violations of smoking. You must report violations of our no-smoking policy to us before we are obligated to investigate and take action." However, as I mentioned, the only action they take is sending out notices, no "investigation" of any kind. It seems that just because they don't know who is doing something, you can get away with anything. The end of this week will be half a month now of consistent instances that I have reported about our issue of smelling marijuana coming from a neighbor as it started the week before this past year ended, and all that has been done is notices being sent that no one seems to care about. I told them that I have had my nose burn from the smell, as well as headaches and getting nausea, yet it still doesn't seem to be enough for them to go out and talk to our neighbors or do something more than just send out notices. This is honestly just one problem with these apartments. The gates malfunction quite often, the clubhouse has been closed for stretches of time, yet you still get charged the fee every month even when you can't use it, it's ridiculous. For what you pay to live here (which is not cheap), you would think they would do more in situations like the one we are having now, or at least let you break the lease without penalty since they're not able to or won't do more than give notices that does not seem to resolve anything. We recently had friends over and they brought up the smell too. We have had to crack open OUR windows and back door because of the smell. This is beyond ridiculous. Update (4 days later): Once again smelling marijuana coming from a neighbor (it is currently night time). The office still is not doing anything to find out who is responsible. Also, the courtesy officer is now no longer answering our calls when we smell it at night. The only thing the office has done is contact me saying they will waive the $300 transfer fee, but they still expect us to pay $300 for deposit on the unit if we transfer, so basically still wanting US to pay something when it is not our fault and they are continuing to do nothing to find out which neighbor is responsible. They fail to realize that it would also be on us to hire movers to transfer units, so still not being helpful. The only thing they have done when I called maybe 2 days ago about smelling marijuana again was send out another notice. Surprise, surprise, the neighbor doesn't care. Update: I have already gone to the office and talked over the phone about the details of the situation, so I'm not sure why in the response to this review they are seeming like they do not already know what is going on."
"PLEASE save yourself time, money and energy before applying here. If you are far away and need a virtual tour, DO NOT Bother! This is one of those places that you can’t take the pictures/video or their words as confirmation. You have to see by physically viewing the place. I don’t know where to start. I thought this moving experience or process would be great considering all the good reviews I read. From the application process that took Two weeks to me moving in it has been very exhausting. The only good I received was Hannah handled things so I could get moved in and the convenience of having stores and everything near and the fireplace. Week one and two after doing the application and submitting everything it took me calling back multiple times because I didn’t get a follow up to know what was going on. My move in date was supposed to be Dec 1 2022 and I moved in Dec 5 2022. The apartment that I asked them to send me pictures/video of I would be moving in was not what it was on move in day. I drove 5 hours to move here. When I got here it wasn’t welcoming. They had me sign a bunch of papers and gave me my keys and pointed to the building and said my apartment was in that building. I didn’t get a tour or anything. They were aware I would be coming from far because I mentioned it many times. And that’s why on the application day I asked if they could do a virtual tour since I wouldn’t be able to come out. I was so excited about moving and as soon as I opened my door my spirit was broken. It smelled. The appliances is not what was in the pics or video my, thermostat doesn’t work at all, it’s stains and tears in my carpet, whoever they use to clean the apartment didn’t clean it thoroughly it’s mold water stains scratches and etc. They didn’t paint the apartment after the last person moved. Items from whoever lived here in the bathroom.I went and informed them of everything and was told that they wouldn’t charge me after I move for any of things I reported and when I mentioned the appliances I was told they could only replace if they were not working. I have to say with all those good reviews I am convinced that they are not honest reviews. I can say I feel like this was a hotel booking. I have to do some major cleaning like borders.walls, cabinets wall sockets etc dirt and grime everywhere. Everyday there has been an issue with something going wrong. Even if they offer a discount it doesn’t add up to the time, energy with buying things to clean properly and uncomfortable feeling you have. DO NOT FALL FOR IT PLEASE!"
