"I felt the need to add my voice to the chorus of reviews warning people about this place. It's all true. It's become an absolute nightmare since switching to One Medical: terrible/nonexistent communication, terrible care (during my appointment, Dr. Servin told me that they do whatever is easiest for them and do no take into consideration the needs of the patients), and they extort you for $200 OR force you to battle their bureaucracy whenever you need anything. I can't wait until I'm done dealing with this office. I wish I'd switched offices before One Medical ruined this one."

"SO sad to lose Dr. Runyan. I understand that I might not fully understand the needs of small businesses but this move to One Medical has been such a bummer to me. My new doctor’s office has been trying to get my records from One and the requests are repeatedly ignored. You can’t call because you get an Amazon agent who isn’t fully informed about SAMC being acquired by One Medical. And the only way to get my records was to sign up and pay for a 3rd party to release them to me. It takes 3 weeks. It’s messy, I don’t think Jeff Bezos needs any more money, and I just refuse to participate. Not sure this is full concierge medicine but it had that flavor. Not for me but if it’s for you, I highly recommend connecting with Dr. Runyan!"

"Dr. Rie was probably one of my favorite physicians I’ve ever encountered. He was always patient, kind and courteous. However I can no longer receive care from Dr. Rie because South Austin Medical Clinic sold out to One Medical, which was acquired by Amazon. I’m not paying a membership fee of $199 per person for services that were previously free. Scheduling appointments online? Access to my medical records? Telemedicine 24/7? If it was $10 a year I would consider it. $199 is just a blatant money grab. I already have telemedicine covered through my health insurance anyways so what is the point! So disappointed in the practice’s decision to sell out."

"The only Dr who cares is Dr Babcock. Took me years to finally find a doctor at the practice that seemed caring and professional. Now that they've sold out to One Medical I get a call TWO hours before my scheduled appt that they do not accept my insurance any longer. I've been waiting on this appt for months....and they've had my unchanged insurance since before OneMedical. Why was I forced to pay a deposit when I'm not even covered?? Avoid this place."

"If I could give negative stars I would. I sat on hold for over 2.5 hours to schedule an appointment. Found out in order to get any help we need the app, which is $200 per patient. I have a family of 6 and cannot get a family app account, meaning they want $1,200 in app fees alone. Took me over a week to finally get in touch with someone in medical records and they suddenly had no record of one of my children but have a bill for her they want us to pay? If you have no record of the child how do you have a bill? The records lady was about as pleasant as a honey badger. We loved when they were south Austin medical clinic. My son has been seeing their doctors for 10 years but I refuse to pay over a thousand dollars for a patient portal and subpar care. Don’t waste your time trying to call or get any help. It’s sad that they now care more about money than patient care. Already found a new doc and will never return."
