Austin Diagnostic Clinic - Circle C

"I have been a patient at Austin Diagnostic clinic for close to 20 years. Recently they did something that I don't understand. Someone wiped my patient chart clean of all supplements and over-the-counter medications. In the past, this was important to them to check for chemical interactions and other checkpoints. I don't care what anyone says, I have had great results keeping my blood thinned with fish oil since my benign stroke in 2016. There is a test to check blood for its fluidity or density, whatever it is. And mine has been fine. Well this last visit the doctor insisted that I take aspirin to keep my blood thinned. One, I thought they were no longer interested in over-the-counter medication. Two, why isn't my fragile liver a concern to her???? Well, she didn't even check my liver with blood work which is very sensitive. She didn't order any blood work, not blood fluidity, blood sugar, cholesterol, liver enzymes.... Nothing!!!! This is not a problem with me or my insurance!!! Is this a new standard of care or medical protocol???? I have been pre-diabetic for 7 years now and have maintained my numbers through diet and exercise and now it seems like without giving me a heads up on my blood work she wants me to proceed as if everything's okay so that I can indeed become sick and therefore require medications!!! Now, it's common knowledge that doctors receive bonuses or some sort of compensation for all the medications that they prescribe. I don't know if this is something new with the doctor or with ADC but.... I don't like it!!! I'm going to find another doctor!!!!"

"During my new patient visit, I requested that the doctor not order any lab tests beyond what would be essential for managing/monitoring my immediate health (no preventative testing). He added a note in my file, but two separate, non-essential lab tests were ordered totaling around $600. Going on 4 months of disputing this and the doctor's nurse has stopped returning phone calls. A phone call left for the practice manager was also unreturned."

"Love the Peds here, but there is zero reason to arrive to your appointment early whether it be for family practice or Peds. They are more often than not, running absurdly late, even for early morning appointments. Not just a couple minutes late, 1+ hours late."

"I used to be a practice manager so I look at clinics and staff with a more critical eye than most. This clinic is top notch. Dr. Dennington and his MA and Nurse are great. They were both friendly and professional. The lab tech was great as well and she did a wonderful job drawing my blood. I really appreciate this care team. Thanks!"

"I went to Austin diagnostic clinic, circle c for an annual check-up with Dr Dennington. The consultation went fine, but I have been sent an incorrect bill. My husband also underwent the same check-ups and procedures on the same day as me and ended up with a $10 copay. But I have been charged $329. Annual check-ups are fully covered by our insurance. So obviously there is a problem in my bill. But the billing office is incapable of finding what the issue is. I have been chasing them for over 8 months now with no resolution in sight. It has been very stressful for me. Would not recommend Dr Dennington to anyone unless you want to pay fictitious charges for your healthcare. Stay away and save your time, mental health and money! There are other reviews stating the same problem. But as you can see, they haven't taken any action to address them. My husband and I are both in our early thirties. They lost both of us as clients for the rest of our lives."
