"I took my 2 children for their travel vaccine due to our move to SE Asia. The kids needed the typhoid vaccine (247.57USD). Japanese Encephalitis was also recommended. This would include 2 shots of 650 dollars each. Totally absurd pricing. Not speaking about the 3 shots of rabies (preventive), which is about 750 dollars. I know the pricing in advance, so basically no surprises, except for that I took oral typhoid myself and only paid 10 dollars at the CVS clinic. I find this ridiculously unreasonable. No one could give me a satisfactory explanation why this discrepancy in pricing. Of course I paid on top of that a physician fee and facility fee of 147.40USD x 2 (2 kids). Of course, the physician took her time talking to me about the Brunei wedding and so on. Nice that you read in to that, but totally irrelevant for the reason I came, especially as my parking is also ticking and I am already frustrated about the pricing. Also referring me to travel clinic in Singapore, whereas I did already mention that I could get vaccines in our new home country Brunei. If you have an option for a travel clinic, I would definitely not recommend this place for your kids. I know it is not only the hospital, but more the system. How can people even afford taking their shots when travelling to the tropics. Aren't travellers taking more risks? Do you want that as a country that people don't take their vaccines?"
