OYO Hotel Irving DFW Airport South

"When I arrived in the evening, the woman at the desk stared at me disgusted and asked what I wanted. The hotel was incredibly dated, dirty, and stinky. Rooms had many roaches. Roaches kept crawling on me and waking me up. Maid service process is gross. Shady people appear to live there. This place charges normal rates but should be dirt cheap for how it is. Have to add, water was warm- not hot. Sinks had low water pressure. Some lights didn’t work. Place is crumbling."

"I'm gonna be that person. If I could give the 0 stars I would. To start, the check in process is suspect like this entire hotel. The 2 ladies at the front were rude and stared at me for a couple minutes before helping me. I should have known when I called and there wasn't even a prompt to speak to someone at the front desk, and the guy I spoke to sounded like he had no idea what I was asking when I asked if they had a shuttle from the airport. They make you give a deposit of $50 in cash. The lady at the counter reiterated "no smoking" to me at least 5 times and each time I told her, I don't smoke, damn, I get the point. You can't pay for any snacks or laundry soap with a card, only cash. If their website said it, I didn't see it. Now onto the room. The room is as basic as it can get, though, I've stayed at motel 6 many a nights and I promise you, the rooms were actually better there. The floor is completely uneven, with like 3 different heights at different parts of the room. The laminate doesn't lay flat so you end up walking on bubbles. The main door doesn't seem to close all the way, and my door still opens even when the deadbolt is engaged. The bathroom door won't close completely. The people above me were so loud it was unreal. Maybe the floors are thin, idk, but I heard EVERY last footstep of whoever was above me and I swear if assault weren't a crime, I would have gone up there and laid hands on them because I know calling the front desk will do me no good, if they would even answer. The area around here sucks. This is a motel attempting to masquerade as a hotel and idk who they think they're fooling. I'm here because I can't afford to go somewhere worth staying or else I would. As someone who has slept in her car for months at at time, this is worse. I'd rather be in my car because at least there aren't inconsiderate idiots stomping above me for days on end. This place is where you go when you have absolutely NO options left. This place is hell on earth. One good thing, it does have a fridge and microwave in the room.... however, that does NOT makeup for everything else that is wrong with this place. Avoid it if you can."

"Think twice before you stay at this hotel. The pictures are deceiving. They have horrible customer service. You will be asked to leave 50 dlls deposit per room. Don’t loose your card keys because if you don’t turn them in you won’t get your deposit back. Don’t loose your key cause they will charge 5 dlls. It is a very old building, it smells very bad, it has very bad lighting. It looks something from a horror film. You are not able to cancel your reservations so be aware of that. You will be stuck in there. There is no security is horrible. The side door was unlock, anyone can walk in there at anytime. It is a very scary place. Also the elevator is not working. Inside the beds were clean and the restroom. So if you don’t mind all of these things. You are more than welcome to stay. It is the cheap hotel. Price is similar to Super 8. I will never stay in a OYO hotel ever in my life. I am sorry but I cannot recommend this place to anyone."

"The place is a great place, good customer service, beating competitors prices, large rooms and more. Would have probably given a 5 star review if it wasn’t for the loitering and cleanliness of the hallways and elevator. Other than that, this is a great place,with awesome prices. I would look here first before anywhere if vacancy is available"
