"Please note: lots of signs that there are no refunds. I would not recommend and would not stay again. The question is - “is that blood or semen on the walls?” Never mind I don’t want the answer. Mold on the bathroom walls. The light switch to the bathroom was rather hard to find. I added a picture of it and let’s see if you can find it without it being pointed out. I thought this hotel was cheaper because it’s old. I thought for the price it could be old and clean and worth the price. I was wrong. Camping in my car would be better than this."

"Do not go here! It was a nightmare. The rooms don't even have their own bathroom. It's a shared bathroom along with shower that you share with every other guest on the floor."

"I've been going to this historic hotel for about 12. I live in Matamoros and I enjoy coming back to the States to visit with old friends. Many things to do around the area, just depends on what you like. Will be returning soon. A++"

"Very dirty, smelled bad, had stained sheets with dusty room. Door locks not secure. Looks like a murder hotel. Roaches and mice running around. Homeless people out in front of main entrance. Sketchy people entering and leaving. Creepy man in his room watching everyone with his door open and TV blaring."
