Holiday Inn Brownsville, an IHG Hotel

"In a scam with a predatory tow truck business called Rancho Towing. Read the reviews on the tow company. Stay anywhere else that doesn’t use them for towing. And the girl at the front desk couldn’t care less. She hardly looked up from her phone when I told her the people answering the tow truck number only spoke Spanish. She acted annoyed that a gringo didn’t speak Spanish. If this happens to you, rent a room, it will be cheaper than the almost $350 to get your vehicle back. Just look at responses by mgmt of other reviews, lip service only. They talk about how busy and full their lot gets, there were probably 50 parking spots available around the property. Signs are not clearly visible at night. You have to actively be looking for them and the one we saw was about 7ft up, not in your line of sight."

"Been an IHG member for 25 yrs. Don’t leave anything behind, was running errands & had to run back to hotel for a noon checkout. Went back for my Laptop & it was missing/stolen from my room. Rooms smell like mildew, the breakfast was bad. I Do not recommend this hotel."

"Stary away from this hotel!!!! it is super nasty. The rooms are moldy and is hard to stand the smell specially if you suffer from allergies or respiratory problems. If you have children, don't expose them please. I doubt they change the bed linens. The pillows smelled like the body odor of other people. Just nasty!! We stayed there one night on October 27, 2023. I really regret it. I got sick and I was out in the lobby by 4:30 AM. To top it off, the culture of the employees is not professional at all. They're very indifferent to the needs of the customers. I would give them zero stars if I could."

"First thing you smell walking in is a smell of strong sewage. The first thing you see in your room is a roach on the bed. Then we found ALL LIFE CYCLES of roaches all over the room. I did not sleep a wink out of fear of having a roach on me. It was disgusting and do not recommend staying here."

"This hotel was horrible! I would not recommend! As you enter the front door, there is a strong sewage odor that penetrates throughout the entire hotel! Our room wreaked of dampness and moisture! A pair of men’s underwear were left behind next to the pullout couch and there were no men with us! (See pic) The pool was dirty and looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. The outdoor furniture at the pool was heavily stained and looked like it should have been thrown out years ago! Do not fall for the high energy pics of the pool on their website as your mood will be killed instantaneously on sight! The fitness area had a sign saying to wipe down equipment after use, but no wipes were provided. No A/C in the fitness area and was told they have no ventilation in that area, nor any fans. It felt like a sauna! Dead roach at the front door that no one bothered to remove. Breakfast was a joke and had the nerve to have a sign up that said $10 for the breakfast buffet! More like scraps! After cleaning our room, they did not leave washcloths. When I called the front desk, I was told that I had to come retrieve them. I would not recommend this place. The only thing that I liked was the location as it was conveniently close to many restaurants and shopping. Addendum: The site won’t let me add the pic of the men’s underwear! 7/17/23 ADDENDUM: To Holiday Inn Brownsville- This isn't a template. It's a legit review. You're claiming template because I put the same review on 2 different sites! I absolutely did so as people need to know. One site has good reviews and the other had negative reviews. I was reeled in by the site with the good reviews. Try again and improve your services rather than commenting template!"
