"My room is the one place I have to myself. I’m here on business, and I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed my stay thus far. I’m pretty quiet and reserved. This hotel is kept up well. It may not be the fanciest, but it gets the job done! I can’t complain."

"The stay was okay. They don't wash anything. Walking into my room I got a hard odor of dirty laundry. When I asked them to change and wash the sheets they just went in and sprayed the room to make it smell "nice". My room also did not have a fridge or microwave. Then the whole night someone in my hall let their children run around screaming the whole night. When I told the front desk about it the next day they said they couldn't do anything about it"

"Bed bug infestation! Frequent traveler to Brownsville and you can see the deteriorating trend for some time. As a Diamond member I can’t recommend or stay here again. There is never a way to go straight to your room, digital key does not work when you first walk in. Have had to change rooms for lack of hot water. Temperature in the hallways seems to be in the 40F range, doors are loose. Worst is the bed bug infestation during our stay Dec 8-10 of 2023. We changed rooms but we had to go to ER due to severe swelling in various parts."

"I get it that I snuck in at midnight in the last available room. But dang, don't give me a bum room!!! The wall made a tapping sound ALL night which woke me up multiple times. Worse was the bed. It creaked and squeaked with any kind of movement! What the heck is that? Pillows for toddlers or small children covered the beds. Hmmm, most travelers appreciate big soft pillows. The stay was NOWHERE worth the price as it was tough to sleep in a room full of distractions and annoyances. ADDITIONALLY, I heard slamming doors throughout the night as the room doors slam. Very UNLIKE most medium tier to upper tier hotels. Finally, it took a solid 10 to 15 minutes to check out and get a receipt because they couldn't find me in the system as it "told them I canceled ". Lol, I'm the one that probably got the room that someone canceled before me. I showed her that I was charged for the room so I definitely didn't cancel. The breakfast was great even though I was pressed on time due to my 15 minute checkout so I grabbed stuff on the go. On a side note, the Hampton Inn at Mustang Island was ON POINT so don't give up on Hampton's just yet."

"Received an extra charge on my card for $25 stating they charged me for stains on towels and bath mat. I cut my toe in the shower. Asked for a manager to call me back after multiple calls to the front desk and still waiting for a reply. Was a loyal Hilton Honors Member will be rethinking my stays from now on. Called Hilton corporate and was told they can’t help either."
