La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Paducah

"We checked in on Friday the 16th and had a pleasant stay up until Monday morning of our check out. We have a dog with us, this is a dog friendly hotel, and while we went down stairs to eat breakfast we were abruptly approached by the “manager” and asked if we had a dog in our room. We promptly said yes and he said that she was causing a ruckus and we needed to get back into our room that we weren’t allowed to leave the dog alone. Well that would be almost impossible since our dog was born death and hasn’t truly barked a day in her life. We tried explaining this to him but he brushed us off and said he was done with this matter and had nothing else to say. Then he fraudulently charged my card since he noticed we hadn’t been charged a pet fee. Well that was because we were told that fee was being waived due to the fact that the handicapped room we were suppose to have was compromised by previous guests having covid so we were put in a different room. My husband is also handicapped. I have never been treated so disrespectfully by hotel staff and the General manager at that, Douglas Cockcroft also said that because he had to compensate other guests $120, that was his reasoning for charging us the $75 pet fee."

"Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast had no variety the whole time we were there. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast. Our key cards were deactivated before our stay ended which required that we visit the front desk after going to our rooms with our hands full. Not fun! Location is somewhat hidden and a little difficult to find. Gentleman staff reactivating key cards was not friendly and offered no apology."

"We love this LQ. The staff is great. Brian at the front desk, Tonya in housekeeping, GM Doug are all very accommodating and really really helpful. Rooms are always sparking clean, beds are comfy, ice machines all work—it’s everything you want in a hotel. Great breakfast staff/selection—we keep coming back here and will continue to do so!"

"We were placed in a room that had a mattress that had a huge sink spot in it. Housekeeping had to be aware the mattress needed to be replaced. Our room also was not very clean to say the least. The pool/hot tub area was filthy which was a huge disappointment as that was the one thing we were looking forward too. I’ve added pictures of the mattresses that shows the sink hole in it. Can’t believe they would place a customer in that room. Was told at checkout management would contact me about the issue but of course that never happened."

"Nice clean motel; hidden 'way in the back of other motels at this motel-and-food-no-gas exit. Large room; nice for us, our cat and dog. Noisy; our room was at the elevator, and the constant comings and goings of several noisy families, some with pets, kept our dog alerting up until 10 pm. None of this was the motel's fault except for room placement and lack of soundproofing. Nice removable shower head for good rinsing. It would be nice if platform beds went clear to the wall and floor; our cat could get in and out and behind. Beds were hard and uncomfortable; but everyone's different, and some might like that. Heater said it was set at highest setting, 78 degrees, it was not; more like 70. Oh, well; clean and well-equipped; not much more you could ask for. Still, nothing exciting; at least they had elevators, tho' only one was in service."
