"Heart & Soul signed a contract with 2 subcontractors and joined their business in October 2021. Unfortunately I was the first customer of their merge. The crews were very polite, respectful and made the experience of people in the house working on remodeling my bathroom a bit easier. The problem was it took them almost 5 months to remodel a 9×10 bathroom. It was suggested Mr. Drew Anthony while giving me a bid, I should have an exhaust fan since there wasn't one, and he was more than happy to install it while rehabbing my bathroom. I was charged $350.00 for the service, I provided the light/fan combo. When it came down to the work being done peetaining to the vent for the fixture, I was told Drew and his crew couldn't install what was promised. Ironically Tabitha informed me she could have another staff member come out and give me a quote. She stated after his visit it would cost me $550.00 to have it done. At that point I was puzzled, what was the $350.00 on my invoice for? There were so many inconsistencies during the entire time it was very frustrating. I asked for a stoop in the shower to place my foot on while shaving my legs. The "stoop" that was installed, was 28 inches high. Really? She also neglected to tell the crew were the mosaic tile was to be placed causing them to take out some tile and then add the mosaic tile. Tabitha then made it sound like she did me a favor and installed 6 rows of the mosaic at their cost instead of the 4 rows I originally wanted and paid for. Unless they removed all the tile to the ceiling and put it in correctly the first time, there was too much of a gap filled with grout so they needed to add mosaic to correct the issue that was caused by lack of communication. Sadly I was told more than once that "I was the the practice job" of their joint businesses and they lost money on my job. Yes Tabitha credited me $250.00 for not installing the actual vent itself, but now I have an exhaust vent that the hot air flows in the house when the a/c is on, and cold air flows in the house when the heat is on. There was more issues but they never addressed them, again I was told they lost money on my job. I would never recommend this company for any installation of any kind. There were a half dozen times they never showed or showed up hours late with no call. I had to reach out to find out what was going on. The communication was at a high school level with mainly texts, but hours later. Weeks went by when I asked for them to correct some missed or improper installed items. The window sill they replaced since they tossed the original in the garbage was never sanded, the drywaller left a mess trailed in my house, and I still had to go behind him and fix things because "my bathroom" was his interview basically, so they never fully hired him, yet I had to deal with cleaning it up and re-plastering his mistakes. Tabitha also informed me whatever other mistakes (wrong color grout) on the shelf, not stoop was not getting fixed or replaced because "I cost them money". When mentioning to Tabitha on our last call how upset I was and I would be informing the BBB and possibly small claims court, this was her response... "We've been threatened before with that and are used to being threatened." REALLY?!? Admitting your mistakes but not fully correcting them?!? I feel this is bad business. I hope whomever hires their team realizes they are taking a leap of faith, and it isn't the best leap. Plus I really hope they got there $hit together so NO ONE ELSE HAS TO LOOK AT THEIR MISTAKES ON A DAILY BASIS AND FEEL THEY WERE DONE WRONG."
