"There were negatives and positives to our stay at the Hampton Inn. For us, a 5-star highest rating for any hotel contains these things: getting the room we want; refrigerator; microwave; ice machine; 2 chairs (one for each of us); a comfortable mattress; Heater-A/C that works; Full caff and decaf coffee available 24/7; a fan in the bathroom; polite/friendly staff; good breakfast. The Hampton Inn positives: getting the room we wanted; ice machine; Heater-A/C that works; polite/friendly staff; and a decent breakfast. The Hampton Inn negatives: there was no refrigerator or microwave; there was only 1 chair; the mattresses were lumpy and hard; there was no decaf coffee; there was no fan in the bathroom. Until these items get addressed we will be staying at another hotel in Bastrop."
"My daughter got married in Smithville this week and we chose the Hampton Inn for our block of rooms. It was very clean, comfortable and inviting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And it was conveniently located right behind a Walmart and close to some fast food restaurants."
"Not only did they redeem our nightmare experience with Holiday Inn Express Bastrop hotel....they went above and beyond to accommodate us, service us, make us feel welcome! Excellent customer service with great attitudes by all the staff. Hotel was beautiful & Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing! We highly recommend this hotel!"
"Very upset at this particular Hampton. The corner of the floor was soaked and nothing could be done. We couldn’t move so we had to stay there in that room where there could be mold. It had been there a while and was turning the wall and baseboards black. There was no shampoo or soap other than one small tiny bar of soap. The forage was broken and wobbled and was really old and rusty. Coffee wasn’t hot either. The whole experience at this hotel was NOT good. Would NOT recommend the one in Bastrop, for sure!"
