Motel 6 Del Rio, TX

"Location is convienient and front desk was accommodating when I requested a room where I could keep an eye on my vehicle since it was loaded full on the roof rack. Room was adequately furnished for a budget hotel. Only downside was that a room had an odor of cigarettes. I hadn't requested non smoking so that may have been my error."

"The rooms are old and out dated. The hotel is located near restaurants and shopping centers. So be prepared for noisy neighbors and traffic all throughout the night.The housekeeping is Awesome whether you want service or not they still go and clean your room. We had a super late check in the front desk lady was nothing but Super helpful and friendly. The price was right for our stay in Del Rio. We will stay again at Motel 6."

"The front desk was professional and had great customer service. I received a bottom room on the side of Whataburger. My room was very clean. The microwave, the fridge, the shower, the bed, and even the 2 filters in the AC/heater unit was clean. The WIFI worked great. No glitches or lagging. No bugs or roaches. The location is right in the heart of where everything is. Restaurants, department stores, gas stations, the car wash, and so much more are in walking distances. The bed and the pillows were comfortable. The water gets really hot in the bathroom. The AC/heater worked perfectly. The fridge kept my food very cold. It was very quiet on this side of the building. Pretty decent size TV. There was more than enough room on the floor for my dog to have his bed. There are some cons. I came in late, so there was only 2 rooms available. The room that I chose, the front desk told me that the TV doesn't work. When I checked the TV, it did turn on, but it was stuck on 1 channel. Not really a big deal for me, I'm here for work, so I just attached my laptop to the TV via HDMI and watched what a wanted. The floor was clean, but the side of one of the tiles was cracked and lifted and my socks kept getting caught on it. There wasn't a door hanger to inform housekeeping that I did not want to be disturbed. I created my own on a napkin. There are no vending machines for late night snacking and the coffee they offered at the front desk was not that good BUT Starbucks, the gas station, and restaurants are in walking distance. But all in all, for the price, location, cleanliness, accepting of dogs, great WIFI connection, and comfort you can't beat it. I will be returning here again when I come back for work."

"I'm actually in the room as I write this review. The room is clean and in decent condition but I just spotted a large, obviously well-fed cockroach crawling on the floor. The room is clean but the motel obviously has an infestation that needs to be addressed soon. I don't like the idea of sharing my room with bugs, even if they are the kind that won't bite me. I really don't want them crawling on me tonight!"
