JAVI Nails

"If you want a sloppy job, this is your place. Came in for a polish change. The lady roughly buffed my nails with the coarsest bit, totally unnecessary. She chipped my overlay which had just been done. I asked her to use a gentler bit, she ignored me. The polish she used was streaky, even after two coats. But a third coat would've made it bumpy and thick so that was that. I left and realized one nail hadnt dried properly. Went back expecting to have the nail re-painted. You could see the edges of the nail were bare. All she did was file the nail and put a clear coat on top. I just left. I hate when nail salons put you in the position of having to fight for the bare minimum of quality service. It wasn't even worth it to ask her to just do it again the right way. She was nice enough, but I might as well just do my own nails if they're gonna look like this. I haven't been to any nail salons in San Antonio where the staff weren't pushy, rude, rushed, or sloppy. Just don't get your nails done at a salon. Find someone who works from home and will give you quality work for your money."

"Let’s say I need to learn my lesson from walking into random nail salons. First red flag they were empty. Cut my nails to short , filed my actual finger. Nail shape is crooked, just a horrible experience. Do not waste your money or time."

"I had a TERRIBLE experience here. And I’m not one to post reviews so this is quite telling. I asked for a dip powder manicure and when the tech (Bebe) reached for the dip, I asked her if she was going to cut my cuticles. She told me she had which I found quite strange because the only thing she had used up until that point was acetone and a drill!! So after asking, she cuts my cuticles. I soon discovered that the dip color powder was a completely different color than the one on the sample. After pointing this out, she tried to tell me it was because my skin was darker. Interestingly enough, I’ve never had that problem in other salons. To her credit, she did try to offer to paint over it with shellac but I declined and she told me she would take it off and only charge me for a manicure. She left me to soak in the acetone for far too long while playing on her laptop. To the point where I simply removed my hands from the acetone. Once the “manicure” was done, she walks to the front to take payment. Who knew a manicure didn’t come with any polish? I asked her if she was going to paint my nails and she seemed surprised. It was clear that she was upset by that point so she did the quickest paint job ever and went back to sit on her laptop. It was clear that I was an inconvenience to her by that point. I got up and walked out and she didn’t acknowledge me in the slightest. No apology, no thank you, nothing. She continued working on her laptop. I won’t step foot in here again!"

"Please DONT SPEND a PENNY on this nail establishment. Workers use the SAME tools from one person to the next. Despite announcing that nails will be cleaned and trimmed, THEY DONT CLEAN AND TRIM. IT'S POORLY DONE, LAZY DONE and if you dare to ask for a better job, they rush you out to get the next person. DON'T GO!!! DON'T PAY OR WAIST YOUR MONEY WITH THIS POOR SERVICE. IT'S A DESERVICE."
