"BEWARE: Westlake Carrollton only store within 20 miles with item I required for a retaining wall build. Paid full price online/store told me I could pick it up in the morning. Drove an hour each way to discover my item filthy, broken leg with a for sale price sticker $30 less than what I paid. The manager who claims she loves to help people in her community was put out that I refused it. They reluctantly brought out another intact and less dirty. Sad that working-class people would try to cheat other hard-working, working-class people. Thankfully, my local ACE (Lakewood ACE Hardware) has yet to betray a trust, I'll patronize them as much as possible."

"Consistently helpful employees, wonderful and varied selection, and reasonable prices from a local store. I bought a new hose here and it busted after just a couple of months, and the gentlemen here allowed me to exchange it without a receipt. They kept apologizing for the short wait while they worked it out in their system, so you could tell they deal with difficult customers at times. Be nicer to your store employees, everyone! They really do go the extra mile for you and genuinely provide a great customer experience."
"I wanted to share my thanks and give a special shout out to Buster at Ace Hardware - Carrollton. My sister and I were there this past Saturday attempting to get her vehicle key replaced. Buster went above and beyond with his help. Where most people and store associates would've turned us away, he was kind and patient. We even shared a few laughs during the whole process. I was so thankful for his help, I offered him a tip. He respectfully declined, saying he was just doing his job. It is individuals like Buster that take a stressful situation and make it a pleasant experience. Thank you sir for all your help this weekend. My sister is very grateful and so am I."
"Ace is the place with the friendly hardware man! Al comer is the man when it comes to friendliness, excellent customer service and an excellent attitude! Everyone that works at this well stocked store is super friendly and knowledgeable but Al stands out amongst the rest! Yes, I could probably find it a bit cheaper at the big box store but I like supporting the small businesses!"
