Horizon Hills Park, located in El Paso, Texas, is a public recreational park that offers a variety of activities for visitors to enjoy. As part of Ascarate Park, the largest public-use recreational park in El Paso County, Horizon Hills Park is dedicated to sports, picnicking, fishing, and other recreational activities.
The park features an 18-hole 72 par golf course and a 9 hole executive course known as the Delta 9. Visitors can also enjoy a 48-acre surface lake, lakeside boardwalk, fully-equipped aquatic center, playgrounds, and picnic facilities. The park is maintained by Public Works to ensure a clean and safe environment for residents of El Paso to enjoy.
Ascarate Lake within the park is known for its excellent fishing opportunities, with a variety of fish species including trout, catfish, largemouth bass, and more. Anglers are limited to two fishing poles each and a five fish limit per visit to the lake. A fishing license is required for adults 17 and older.
Visitors to Horizon Hills Park can also explore the historic San Elizario Placita, an area surrounded by galleries, museums, and churches that is available for private event rentals. Nearby Gallegos Park offers baseball and t-ball fields, soccer fields, a skate park, and pool for additional recreational opportunities.

"Basketball court doesnt belong to just certain individuals. There was group of 5 people on the basketball court which involved 2 snotty unskilled girls. And a show off with ugly tattoo on his arm dictating the court and not letting other individuals use the court. What a trash of a place."
"It's a beautiful park. I just wish dog owners would pick up after their fur baby. Sometimes there's lots of poop everywhere. The other thing they should consider is adding more basketball courts. My sons 9 & 12 hardly ever get to play because the older kids take over."
"The back boards on the basketball court are falling apart. Would be surprised if nobody has been hurt buy the dangling metal bars. Considering the number of people using the courts, you would think they wouldn't be so neglected. Also, one net missing and only a piece of the other remains."
