Harold's Transmissions

"When my husband took our 2018 Yukon to Harold, my husband described what he was noticing, and what he was concerned about with the transmission. Harold was not polite, and acted irritated that my husband showed up during his lunch. Harold did not test drive our vehicle or even look at it. His wife did all the talking and told my husband that it was a known problem with Yukons, that the clutches malfunction and he would need a repair. The cost was going to be $5,000. This was quoted without a test drive. They said they repair at least two of these a week. So we decided to take our vehicle to the dealer to see if they could check it out. The dealer test drove it, and discovered it was in “all wheel drive”, and because we had recently replaced one tire, and the tread was different from the other 3, we thought the noise we were hearing and feeling was because of our transmission. There is absolutely nothing wrong with our vehicle. Just put it in two wheel drive, and the noise and jerking feeling was gone. And, the cost was $0 and a little embarrassment for my husband. I would never recommend this place."

"Harold, Pam and their team did an outstanding job on 1 of my work trucks (2006 F150) and even with parts being hard to find (not their fault) they explained everything to me. I got it back, with a slight tremor at highway speed while towing, took it back to him an explained what was happening and he stood behind his work and fixed it under their generous warranty. No one else I could trust with my transmission from here out. Harold is a stand up guy and a man of his word, and Pam is such a sweet lady. Even their tech is a very nice guy. "I am a foreigner in this country and came to study as a student. I don't remember his name, but the gentleman at this establishment took very good care of me. I thought there was a problem with the car's transmission, he drove my car, he said it worked fine. He took 15 minutes to understand whether there was a problem or not, but he took a lifetime to master it. Despite this knowledge and sparing time for me, he did not receive any money. As I said at the beginning of my comment, I am a foreigner in this country, but it made me feel at home. To me, someone to be trusted for expensive repairs like transmission."
