"Got a tattoo from one of the artists who works here. I said I wanted a neotraditional style piece, and for the tattoo to look as close tonthe original character as possible. He said he would make her look realistic, and that was fine by me. Vibrant. Colorful. I repeatedly complimented him on his portrait work. Which by judging by this artists Instagram, he was more than capable of. I did not get what I wanted at all. One of her fingers looks broken/dented. The shading was done outside of the lines and is very patchy, ESPECIALLY on her armor. Her eyes are barely looking in the same direction, and her face was NOT done realistically. The haste involved in my tattoo is clear to any real artist who is worth their salt. I paid $1,000 for my tattoo at the convention where this studios artist did my piece. I am thoroughly disappointed and I feel EXTREMELY naive for having trusted someone with an otherwise remarkable portfolio. I feel fortunate to have gotten my tip back. But this man did not care about what he was doing to my skin. If that is not evident in her face and fingers, the shading should at least highlight that. I would post a comparison image if I could on this review form."
